Purple has over the years featured some iron women of Oman with the goal of sharing the personal stories of ordinary women who uplifted themselves to become extraordinary.  These women who are featured in the current edition of Purple refused to bow down to circumstances that tried to beat them down and limit their potential. Unfazed by the world that tried to make them stick to what they were, they went ahead and became what they were meant to be. Colourful works of art by special needs children to be displayed on International Volunteer Day on December 5 Several special needs children from the Early Intervention Centre joyfully splashed into a world of colours recently creating special works of art that will be soon displayed to the public. These children created magic with their own unique expressions of art through two workshops designing 75 works of art. These art pieces, along with other paintings, will be displayed at the Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) on International Volunteer Day on December 5, this year, organisers said.
