Awesome to see some of our Z Wairoa team attending the blessing ceremony of the first two whare at Tātau Tātau o Te Wairoa's Te Raua community housing project. Once complete, the project will provide 43 new homes and a 13-bedroom supported living complex addressing the need for affordable housing in Wairoa. An incredible cause we've had the privilege of supporting through Z's Regional Boost this year: https://lnkd.in/gSmFrKTS Abbie Bull Haley Strickland Haley Mortimer Te Rau Winterburn Hamish Waddington

With the end of 2024 fast approaching, we thought we’d take some time to reflect on the year, including some of our customer favourites in the food and beverage space 🥧 ☕ With a whole lot of new and old customer favourites hitting the shelves, whether it’s the vegan pepper ‘shroom pie or the banoffee pie frappé - there was a bit of something for everyone. Darren Rusden Head of Category Management, says “as we look to the future and customer’s habits and shopping missions change, we’re making sure we’ve got great plans around food for now and food for later.” Read more:

Z's Regional Boost aims to provide meaningful support to local communities who need it most across the motu. Through a unique and proactive funding approach, the initiative utilises NZ’s deprivation index to identify areas of high socio-economic need. We then work with local Z retailers to select several key not-for-profit organisations to support. Thank you to all the groups we have been able to support this year, you are doing incredible mahi for your community! 👏

We know that there can be unique challenges when adding EVs to the business fleet, including considerations like charging logistics, cost, infrastructure and people behavioural change. Thanks to all our customers this year who we have had the privilege to work alongside to develop flexible solutions for their energy transition and unique operational requirements. Looking forward to working with you further in 2025! “We believe that the objective of the work health and safety system is to ensure that work is a positive force and factor in the lives of our people and communities,” says Nicola Law, Chief Financial Officer here at Z. Recently, the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment invited organisations across New Zealand to have their say on the work health and safety regulatory system. As part of the consultation process, we were proud to share some of our key learnings on this critically important topic, including the need for improvements to the existing legislation. Shout out to all of the incredible volunteers this International Volunteer Day! 💫 🤸 International Volunteer Day celebrates the spirit of volunteering and the numerous benefits this has to our communities, both locally and across the world. Through our employee volunteering leave programme, staff are encouraged to give back to their communities, with two full days of paid leave each to volunteer for a non-profit organisation of their choice. As a result, the Z crew have volunteered for approximately 1,550 hours this year alone! Check out some pictures of our people in action today, supporting Good Bitches Baking and Ngā Hau e Whā o Paparārangi

Great to catch up with my bro Lindis Jones this morning after our giving machine interviews this morning. Z Energy NZ are HUGE supporters of our work in the community , and the team are always checking in on how we are going. We sat for coffee and Lindis just wanted to know if I’m ok, and if I’m going to take a break. Like a lot of people, Lindis is worried about me. I assured him I will be having a break soon ❤️🙏🏽 I really appreciate the support my bro. Have a great weekend #linkedinfamily #zenergy #bbm #checkin Haley Strickland Abbie Bull

The Z Manu World Champs are back and better than ever! 💥 We’re proud to be celebrating the beloved kiwi pastime again this summer. Following the success of the inaugural competition in 2023, this year’s festivities boasts an expanded lineup, with 10 qualifying events across eight cities. Selected winners and placegetters will secure a spot in the grand final on Saturday March 1, 2025. Last year, more than 2,000 people competed across Aotearoa, with thousands more gathering at Auckland’s Viaduct to cheer on the finalists. For those unable to attend a qualifier in person, there’s also the Z Manu Wildcards – an easy and convenient way for manu fans to get involved from anywhere around the country. Entrants submit a video of their best manu on social media, allowing the public to vote for their favourites. We’re proud to be working NZ Police and NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi to be sharing road safety messages across our nationwide network 🚘 To help reach drivers before they head back behind the wheel, a range of important safety tips and reminders will be shared with our customers both in-store and on the forecourt. South Island Z Retailer, Jonathan Usher, says it’s great to be helping get the message out there. “All Z retailers are really committed to our communities. And if we care about our communities, road safety has to be a pillar of that, because any harm on the road doesn’t just impact the person in the accident itself, but everyone around them.” To read more about our partnership and what we’re doing, head to: https://lnkd.in/gg4GQBud
