    When it comes to being on leave, leaders MUST set an example and completely disconnect! In fact, I have this standing joke when I go on leave, that 'I only want to hear from you if the building is burning down so that I can take my photo of the day.' I then - Put my out of office on; - Log out of Teams on all my devices; - Remove email access; - Leave a voice mail saying I'm away (which no ability to leave a message); - And disconnect. I am constantly blown away by leaders in large companies who don’t completely disconnect when they are on leave. If you don’t completely disconnect, you send a message to your team that their leave is not critically important!     🚨🚨Hot off the press 🚨🚨 Two newly created roles (one Southern and one Northern) to support the mahi of YSAR - Youth Search and Rescue as Branch Support Specialists There are two roles ➡️1 in the North Island - ideally Tauranga or Waikato based ➡️1 in the South Island - ideally Christchurch As part of YSAR's commitment to align operations with the YSAR Trust Long Term Strategy and meet the requirements of our Government Service Level Agreement, our aim is to create a supportive environment where everyone can thrive, reflecting our core values of People, Planet, and Progress, training the next generation of SAR (Search and Rescue) and EM (Emergency Management) practitioners. These roles are critical for enhancing the support network for our branches, ensuring operational readiness, fostering community and SAR and EM partner relationships and cultivating sustainable growth.
