Remind your drivers to keep an eye out for the NZI Truckie Rest Zone in Rakaia on Wed 11 Dec. Heavy vehicle drivers can pull their rigs in, enjoy some complimentary refreshments, get a health check, and have a chat to our NZI Fleet Fit experts about driver fatigue and ways to keep themselves safe and well. Held with support from the NZ Police Commercial Vehicle Safety Team and Hato Hone St John. Big shout out to Fern Energy for providing their awesome BBQ! Fatigue is a major cause of road accidents, and we want to support your drivers to stay safe on the roads. So let your team know to come along to refresh and recover for the next leg of their journey, we would love to see them (and you) there! This week the NZI team hosted the third JB Memorial Golf Day in Hamilton. Jeremy Bold (JB) was an integral member of the NZI team who sadly passed away in 2021. He was also an avid golfer, and this annual tournament is a way of keeping his memory alive and acknowledging his massive contribution to our business, the industry and to so many people’s lives, while also raising money for a worthy cause. We’ve raised close to $10k with donations still coming in. JB’s whānau requested for all proceeds to go to I AM HOPE, a charity that does amazing work in the wellbeing space for New Zealand’s younger generation.
