Huge congratulations to Robin McNeill, founder and CEO of Space Operations New Zealand Ltd, as the inaugural winner of Prime Minister Christopher Luxon's space prize award! 👏 Space Operations NZ played a critical role in deepening New Zealand’s space relationship with the European Space Agency - ESA. This partnership began in 2004 with the establishment of the Awarua Satellite Ground Station, developed in conjunction with the ESA.🚀 We’re keen to expand collaboration with New Zealand to boost European competitiveness in technology and innovation – keep Europe in mind, Hon Judith Collins KC MP! In partnership with the Asia New Zealand Foundation and University of Otago, we were delighted to deliver the EU Diplomatic Training to students and upcoming diplomats at this year’s Otago Foreign Policy School. Led by Nicholas Ross Smith, Senior Research Fellow at University of Canterbury, the training provided in-depth insights into the European Union as a global actor. Participants discussed the EU-NZ relationship, the Indo-Pacific, and the EU’s leading role in global health and environmental protection.
