🎥✨ Introducing our CBAFF Conference 2024 Highlights VLOG (from an EightyDays POV) ✨ Can you believe it’s been 8 weeks since we all came together to explore ‘the bigger picture’? Time flies! 2024 has thrown its fair share of challenges at us, but as Mitchell Pham ONZM FCPA reminded us in his inspiring talk, resilience comes from staying true to our 'why'. So, what is our why? Spending time in the wonderful city of Christchurch reaffirmed it. At EightyDays, our why is simple: it’s you. We want to play our part in seeing you succeed, seeing your businesses grow and in doing so, seeing our industry thrive. In the VLOG you’ll see a few of our favourite moments from the conference: 👏 Being there for Sherelle Kennelly's inaugural speech as CEO of CBAFF 👏 Visiting Lyttelton Port with our fantastic hosts Abbey Clapp and Sean Bradley from Lyttelton Port Company (Yellow Bus was the best bus 🚌, sorry not sorry). 👏 All the incredible conversations while trying (and failing) to beat Ernesto Losada's dart score – looking at you, Doreen Vrankar and McCombie, Jacqui! 😜 👏 Meeting so many of you during Networking at Speed and soaking up insights from every session. 👏 For us the biggest thrill was hosting the Gala Dinner at the Air Force Museum of New Zealand – seeing everyone dressed up, celebrating the award winners, and having a blast was an absolute highlight. A special shoutout to Rosemarie Dawson for the CBAFF Lifetime Achievement Award! And of course, we can’t forget Greg Ward for always keeping the energy 🎶 🎙feeling good 🎶 and agenda moving forward. A huge thank you to our fellow sponsors and a big well done to the entire NZ Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Federation of New Zealand Inc. team, and thank you all for making it such a memorable experience. As the year wraps up, we wish you a strong finish to 2024 and an exciting start to 2025 💪 And hey – if a fresh start in freight forwarding and customs clearance software is on your horizon, we are ready to chat when you are! 🗣🗣 See you soon 🫡 Team EightyDays www.eightydays.co.nz (Your Official Magaya Corporation Partner in AU-NZ)

  • Our People - Sherelle Kennelly Chief Executive Officer - CBAFF   I've been in this industry for over 26 years now, though honestly, I've lost count!   My journey began at Fliway International in 1998, where I started as a Customs Broker.  Little did I realise then that this role would shape my career in Customs Brokering and Freight Forwarding.  I transitioned into this field from a position at a leading New Zealand produce exporter, where I handled export entries and documents for letter of credits.   In 2005, I found my calling in Customs Management, a role that allowed me to mentor numerous Customs Brokers and foster relationships with regulatory bodies over the years.  Currently, I serve as the Chief Executive Officer at CBAFF, the National Federation of Customs Brokers & Freight Forwarders of New Zealand.   The industry has transformed significantly over the years, from handwritten entries and typewritten carbon copies to today's electronic submissions.  Gone are the days of long tables for laying out entries and Customs officers granting clearances with a simple stamp and nod or with a stern “you may go”. Thankfully, electronic submissions have streamlined our processes, handling the immense volumes efficiently.  In my earlier days, I've drilled countless holes in shoe samples and have processed thousands of customs entries.
