Novlabs recently attended an opening ceremony for a new Supercritical UV disinfection system at the Alliance Group Limited Mataura plant. This system is achieving outstanding environmental results and will treat up to 9,000,000 litres or close to 4 Olympic-sized swimming pools of water per day. We would like to again say a massive thank you to everyone involved in getting this project off the ground!

Great to see MGA Thermal teaming up with Chevron to explore a clean steam solution. A big leap toward reducing emissions in industrial heat. Excited to watch this progress! #CleanEnergy #Decarbonisation
We are thrilled to announce MGA Thermal, has been selected by Chevron to conduct an engineering and design study for an innovative clean steam solution. This study marks a significant milestone for MGA Thermal and underscores the growing importance of decarbonisation technologies in the energy sector. The study focuses on the application of MGA Thermal’s clean steam solution on a 5MWh trial unit designed for a Chevron site. “Collaborating with Chevron represents a significant milestone for MGA Thermal as it provides validation of our business model with a Fortune 10 rated business, and independent validation of the MGA design, advancing our mission to decarbonise industrial heat on a global scale.” said Mark Croudace, CEO of MGA Thermal. “At Chevron, we’re committed to delivering affordable, reliable, and ever-cleaner energy. Our collaboration with MGA Thermal is just one example of the forward-thinking required to deliver on our strategy to reduce the carbon intensity of our operations and advance new solutions for major industries,” commented Luc Huyse, Manager, Operations and Facilities at Chevron Innovation. "We look forward to the insights this study provides as we continue our journey towards a lower-carbon future.” #LDES #Cleansteam #renewables #decarbonisation #milestone

This week, at our Mataura beef processing plant in Southland, we unveiled the largest Supercritical ultraviolet (UV) water treatment system of its kind in the world. Stacked UV lamps disinfect water used on plant. Our Chief Executive, Willie Wiese says: “This investment highlights our commitment to the Mataura plant, showcases our dedication to New Zealand innovation and reflects how determined we are to adopt sustainable practices that benefit both the environment and the community. "We’re working hard to drive continuous improvement and improve the environmental footprint of our plant network across the country.” #nzinnovation
