Today marks a year since Bluemoth was launched. This year, we have engaged with over 20+ businesses, started monthly Green Drinks to connect passionate people in the Nelson Tasman region, spoke at a number of events and continue to learn along the way. We are so excited to see what the future holds for Bluemoth and provide continued support for businesses across Aotearoa with a particular focus of those in Nelson Tasman region.

Next week will be our final Green Drinks for the year. We will be back on 16th January 2025! 🎉 Please join us on Thursday 21st November between 5.30pm - 6.30pm at Two Thumbs Brewery. This is a social get together to meet other likeminded, passionate people who care about the environment. Lucy (me) Director and Sustainability Advisor of Bluemoth will be speaking at "Let's talk business" a collaboration between NYP - Nelson Young Professionals and the Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce to share my journey on starting a business. Bluemoth has been helping both Nelson City Council and Tasman District Council implement a simple yet super effective way of engaging customers to bring their reusable cups to cafe's. Bring your own cup and get a discount. Cafe's also benefit from not having to purchase as many single-use cups. It's a win win for the customer, cafe owners and the environment. Businesses can also play a big part in this. Simple things like setting up a reusable cup library in work places, encourage staff to sit in and have their coffee or take a mug from the office kitchen to your local cafe. Every time I see someone with a reusable cup I have a little dance inside in my head 🤸♀️👏

Green Drinks will be happening next Thursday 19th from 5.30pm -6.30pm at Two Thumbs Brewery. It has been so great to the community come together, a huge range of people from different industries and backgrounds. If you haven't been before there will be a little sign on the table saying "Green Drinks". All welcome!

Thanks to Business Assist Bluemoth will be speaking at one of the Lunch & Learn series to share how a small business can reduce their emissions. This is a free event next Tuesday 10th September between 12pm - 1pm. At Pūtangitangi Greenmeadows Centre in Stoke. New Zealand on a global scale has a very high percentage of small businesses and is a significant part of reducing Nelson Tasman's emissions. Join us next week to learn more.
