I’m excited to host a workshop on Outcome-driven UX Metrics at the UX Nordic Conference on August 28th. Organizations run on numbers. With meaningful metrics, your UX team can show its true value and contribution. Yet, it can be difficult to find measurements reflecting your best work, making mediocre work “good enough.” Outcome-driven UX Metrics connect improvements in the user experience to increased value for the organization. With this radical new approach, UX teams measure how their work improves the lives of their customers, users, and employees. UX leaders like yourself can connect the dots of your team’s efforts to critical business objectives like customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty. In this earth-shaking workshop, we will explore how UX leaders use Outcome-driven UX Metrics to vividly demonstrate their design’s ROI to executives and senior stakeholders. You’ll discover how you can use insightful UX metrics to hold the entire organization accountable to deliver better user experiences. Uncover how you’ll… … Set your OKRs and KPIs with metrics that accurately reflect improvements to the user and customer experiences your organization delivers. … Align Agile’s “definition of done” to how (and when) your product attains clear experience improvements in your users’ lives. … Change how your organization views UX, moving from the “make it pretty” team to a strategic contributor of innovation and customer value. Have you tried MVW pattern in your apps? Model - View - Whatever? Jonas Uekötter was recently featured on Sean Allen's Swift news for the month of April. In his twitter thread he points out that when choosing a pattern, the real issues often stem from overcomplicating things. This is a refreshing reminder for us all: - Keep it simple - Understand your goals - Use tools that suit your team Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the many ways to structure app development? What's your approach to choosing development frameworks and patterns? #MobileApp #Architecture #iOS #Swift #Apple #Google #MobileAppDevelopment #Flutter

A group of people working together is NOT a team. That is a working group. A group of people TRUSTING each other - That is a TEAM! 🤝 Thomas Andersen (Head of Product Tech at ECCO) and I worked together in building a large-scale Agile tribe from 2023-2024 in the area of product lifecycle management/ shoe development process. The co-leadership between us was one of the best experiment in my career. His words better describe it than mine (see picture)👍 *** The moment you must work with other people, especially from outside of your area, that is the moment a complexity arised. Being part of a larger value chain already means you can’t deliver a complete product alone. You must find a way to #collaborate with others. 💫 Building a cross-functional team into a self-organized one, where people are proactive in communicating progress, helping each other, and solving problems first and foremost within the team before defaulting to escalate to their line managers - THAT is a dream of many leaders. It’s time to mobilize your dream 🚀 📈 This Q4-2024 is a perfect time to allocate a Q1-2025 budget dedicated for your people collaboration so they create results with more relevant values to their users/customers. 🎉 New year, new beginning! Book my #Transformation consulting and let me help you utilize your budget efficiently with lasting impact. My 3 key-milestones in starting or strengtening trust and collaboration in a new or existing team are: 1. Create pychological safety & maturity 💓 2. Organize people via a team-structure makes sense to the value chain⛓️ 3. Empower people with relevant Human* skills and Hard skills (technical or commercial) 💪 🫵 All these start from you: the leaders. Lead by example. 🫴 You’re not alone. I’ll be with you as your leadership buddy, holding your hands in this journey while co-designing the practicality of these 3 milestones. We’ll be a team 😇 DM “Transformation”, call to +45-23744036, or email me at [email protected] Read more about my coaching & consulting in leadership, transformation, and strategy on www.couraglia.com 🙋🏻♀️ *P.S. I prefer to use the term Human skill rather than Soft skill. Hard and soft project skills that work oppositely. Hence the term Human skills to complement the hard skills. #changemanagement #psychologicalsafety #organizationaldesign #agileleadership #leadership #consulting #agile #couraglia

Why I do Barma can be summarized in many things, one of them is hearing from customers! This is a quote by quote from Kristian Baattrup Jakobsen Linkedin post yesterday, co-owner of a forward-thinking bar/nightclub chain, wrote yesterday: "Working with young people in the nightlife is a unique experience – and Barma has already made a difference for us! 🚀 As a bar/nightclub "chain" with many young, part-time employees, it can be a challenge to create both structure and room for development. We've taken the first steps with Barma, and while we're still figuring out how to best use the platform, we're already starting to feel the difference. It feels like an investment in our team and in their experience of being with us. An easier start for new members of the team ✅ It means a lot to me that our young employees feel welcome and well-equipped from the start. With Barma, we can now offer a more structured onboarding so that they quickly get into the flow. Watching them go from uncertainty to confidence is a great experience, and Barma has made that process easier. Opportunities for continuous development ✅ Even though many only work part-time, we still want to give them the opportunity to grow. Here we can now offer training and continuous development so that they can develop, no matter how many hours they work. It's really motivating to see how some people seize the opportunity to learn more and become even better at their job. Everything in one place – a help in everyday life ✅ Having both communication, onboarding, development, roster (via Workfeed), etc., in one place has already given us more structure. For us, this means an easier everyday life, where we do not have to look for information in several places, and where the team always has an overview. Checklists that create security and quality ✅ The checklists in Barma are one of the most recent implementations we have done. In the long run, we hope that this tool can ensure that tasks are done in the right way every time. It creates a sense of security for the team – especially for the young people who are new to the job – and it raises the quality of what we deliver to our guests. A workplace they want to stay at ✅ My hope is that with Barma, we can give our team an experience that they can develop here and therefore stay for a longer period of time. For me, it is important that they feel recognized and supported so that they want to become part of the community and grow in their roles. We are still on a journey with Barma and have a lot to learn. But already now, I can feel that we are heading in a direction that gives both the team and myself new opportunities to create a great workplace. I'm looking forward to seeing how we can take full advantage of Barma – and continue to create a strong, cohesive experience for our team. It almost came to sound like a sales pitch. But that's just my honest enthusiasm for the product. Thanks to Emil Skjold Andersen and Co. for this!"

"I'm basically the ultimate multitasker." Sidsel's AI avatar. I love when folks get creative with avatars and change up how they deliver their experiences. There's both an opportunity to drive better customer experiences by using video creatively along the learner journey AND drive value by saving on development. If I can encourage ONE new technique: Co-facilitate with your avatar 1. Use them for pre-show announcements 2. Use them to set off discussions or reflection activities 3. Use them to recap your takeaways from your sessions Awesome stuff Sidsel and BESTSELLER!

A couple of weeks ago, I asked if you had gotten a form of feedback, “You need to improve the way you set and communicate a vision?” 🤔 Many of you raised your hand and shared my experience, which is that it often feels like you re-invent the process every time. Some expressed a desire to “ride along” with Storyblocks as we refresh our vision heading into 2025. I’ve broken down our approach into four posts: 1. Do You Need to Create a Vision? (You Are Here 🎯 ) 2. Open with Empathy: Ground Yourself in the Customer 3. Anatomy of a Vision: Choose Your Framework 4. Bring it On Home: Start with the Long Letter I’ll do my best to provide useful links and materials each step of the way from some of the content we found most helpful as we took the project on this fall. Before we start, I wanted to start with a simple question: “Do you need to create a vision?” TLDR: You do* *If you want anyone to follow you Too often, “setting the vision” is left only for the CEO. Yes, the CEO leads the organization's vision-setting, but odds are that a company vision is necessary but insufficient for your team. FranklinCovey asserts in Essential Roles of Leadership, “Effective leaders create a vision of where they are going and why.” I don’t think this is a particularly controversial statement. By extension, if you want to lead—which I’d define as simply getting others to follow you—then you need a vision. Not convinced? We can all agree that to be effective at your job, you must deliver against a set of goals. To achieve a goal, you need a plan. This is your strategy. How will you know if you have the right approach if you haven’t defined where you are going? The job of the vision is to set that shared destination, and the strategy is the path you will take to get there. If your role requires others to follow you to deliver against goals, you need a strategy (the plan) and, therefore, a vision (the ultimate destination). You also need to ensure that your vision, strategy, and goals align with the company’s—so feel free to badger your CEO if they haven’t done their part. Next time, I’ll walk you through the first step we took in updating our vision: building empathy with our customers so that all of the following work is grounded in their needs. Shout out to Scott Simpson (our Head of Product) and Tirzah Heidelberg (aka Nikki, our Lead UX Researcher) for helping me put the series together 🫡 In the meantime, please drop any questions in the comments. Thanks, all! I wrote a little something on the role of communication when working with culture. The main points are that A) communication is a dialogue, B) resist the urge to try and define everything in detail and C) remember to talk about the bad stuff as well. https://lnkd.in/dQiWp2mV

From today's article in Berlingske: "If you're a founder or visionary, you must firmly believe in what you're doing. If everyone could see what you see, it wouldn't be so innovative." When we founded Mono Solutions in 2007, the B2B SaaS model faced a lot of skepticism. Back then, software was installed on servers – the cloud was barely a concept. Thanks to the visionary insight of my co-founder David Højelsen, we persevered. This belief is also the inspiration behind "Ugly Duckling Ventures" – supporting those 'ugly ducklings' destined to become beautiful swans. #startups #venture #vc #uglyducklingventures

We just checked the latest version of ChatGPT 4o on the differences between the negotiation approach of Chris Voss and Keld Jensen. Here is the insight from ChatGPT 4o. "Christopher Voss' methods are highly effective in high-stakes, zero-sum scenarios, such as hostage negotiations or situations where quick decisions are critical and trust may be low. Keld Jensen's SMARTnership model is more suitable for business negotiations where building long-term relationships and creating additional value is crucial. It's especially effective in environments where trust, collaboration, and sustainable partnerships are essential for ongoing success. Ultimately, the best approach depends on the specific negotiation context and the goals of the parties involved." I guess that sums it up pretty well! Execution is more important then the idea. Behind paywall. I agree 💯 with Fredrik Hjelm. To many times people/companies get stuck in idea, data, and theories. There is tons of ideas and very few are unique. I my own experience big or small success is connected to people/org that could execute on the idea. Create momentum and move things forward. Start doing, whatever that means for you. Start execute this autumn. https://lnkd.in/d9CxGMFP
