Did you know? In 2024, 17% of all new roofs in Germany were constructed as green roofs! 🏢🌱 According to recent data from the Bundesverband GebäudeGrün e. V. - BuGG, Germany saw an incredible 60 million square meters of new roof surfaces built in 2024—more than 10 million square meters of which were green roofs. This remarkable 17% share highlights the growing commitment to transforming urban spaces and addressing challenges like rising temperatures, flooding, and declining biodiversity. ❓ Må solcellepaneler være så store? 🤨 😎 Nei! Solceller kommer, og vil i økende grad, komme i alle slags former og utgaver. De tradisjonelle solcellepanelene vi kjenner på to meters høyde vil alltid være de mest effektive. Men vi ser at mange bygg og områder trenger mer spesialtilpasning, som her på Universitetet i Bergen (UiB). Små, vertikale paneler med økt lysinnstråling fra bakken er et godt alternativ av hensyn til estetikk, byggets utforming, værforhold og universitetets ønske om å bryte vei for nye løsninger. 🧑🔬 Som spesialist innen solceller i over et tiår har vi i Solcellespesialisten sett både stadig flere løsninger og stadig flere ønsker om hvordan solceller kan tilpasses for å passe bedre inn. Det forstår vi godt. Vi har lagt soltakstein på vernede bygg, og vi har funnet løsninger som her på taket til juridisk fakultet. Det viktige er alltid: Velg en leverandør som kan faget, har prøvd ut det meste, og vet hva som er kritisk når man gjør slike tilpasninger. 🌞 Vi håper flere både finner plass til solceller og lokal, miljøvennlig egenproduksjon av strøm, og har lyst å prøve ut nye ting. Passionate about renewable energy, especially solar power, he’s eager to help create sustainable energy solutions. When Nabeel is not fully immersed in the world of solar panels, you can find him smashing birdies on the badminton court or hitting sixes in cricket🏸🏏   We look forward to his contributions to the solar energy field. What happens when solar panels are covered in snow? ❄️ We’re excited to share these pictures from the installation of our partner AMANN die DachMarke in Austria! Conventional panels are covered with snow and therefore cannot produce energy efficiently. But what about vertical solar panels? Thanks to the vertical design of our solution, snow does not accumulate on the surface of the solar panels but only underneath them, leaving the panels unaffected. Even during heavy snowfalls, when part of the vertical solar panels could be covered, snow melts faster due to improved air circulation and radiant heat absorption. And there's more to it: snow also reflects sunlight, increasing the albedo and maximizing energy production. Solar panels installed in a previously unseen way to maximize production. That is what Over Easy Solar is offering. The Norwegian company creates pre-assembled solar panels for green and flat roofs. The vertical installation results in two daily production peaks instead of one, extending productive hours and providing extra strong performance during winter. The company is part of SEB ScaleCenter, a pro-bono incubator in Oslo. We’re still buzzing from our amazing experience at Solar Solutions International in Düsseldorf! 🌞     Now that the event has concluded, we're taking some time to reflect on the stimulating discussions and the remarkable achievements that Over Easy Solar and Sempergreen Group accomplished together. Our solution was ranked in the top 3 out of 49 innovations by an expert panel, we generated the most leads of the 250 exhibitors and had the most product scans out of 850 registered products! 💥   A big thank you to Solar Solutions International and to everyone who visited our stand to learn more about our product.
