His Majesty the King of the Netherlands is visiting Norway to engage with key players in hydrogen and future energy solutions. During his stay in Oslo, he will visit Hystar, and Ocean Hyway Cluster are invited to a session at the City Hall and a maritime event in the Oslofjord alongside several of our members. Martin Hennum will lead a conversation with the King on the topic “Creating Maritime Supply Chains for Hydrogen and Derivatives.” Our key messages to the King and Dutch Minister Sophie Hermans of Climate Policy and Green Growth include the importance of cross-border collaboration at every level—from local entities and companies to national and international stakeholders. We are rethinking old value chains and business models to answer pressing questions: 🧩 What should future maritime logistics look like?   🧩 How can we optimize new processes now that we are building these sustainable value chains? In Norway and the Netherlands, the maritime industry is a significant contributor to national emissions, representing approximately 10% of Norway's and 8% of the Netherlands' total CO₂ emissions. We are glad to discuss collaborative solutions, underscoring the importance of the partnership between Norway and the Netherlands in addressing maritime decarbonisation Our members AZANE Fuel Solutions and Fuella will also be present in the session to showcase their solutions to the delegation, with both companies taking the stage to share their innovations. At the event Gen2 Energy will sign a major collaborative agreement with Tata Steel Nederland, ECOLOG, and the Port of Amsterdam. This agreement involves Gen2 Energy producing hydrogen for export, with Ecolog then transporting the liquid hydrogen to Amsterdam, where a large storage terminal will be built. The Dutch company, Tata Steel  will use the hydrogen to reduce CO₂ emissions in its steel production. In return, CO₂ will be transported back from Amsterdam for storage in the North Sea.
