During the 5G Techritory forum in Riga, NOBID’s partner Viedās administrācijas un reģionālās attīstības ministrija hosted a session titled “e-Identity Innovation: Building Secure Digital Wallets for EU Citizens”. The main goal of Work Package 6 in the NOBID project is to test and prove the ability to issue and revoke Qualified Electronic Attestations of Attributes (QEAAs) of national and international interest. This involves ensuring that these attributes: 🇪🇺 are interoperable across borders 📲 can be used effectively within the European Digital Identity Wallet WP6's work is essential for building a robust and user-friendly EU Digital Identity Wallet that can be trusted and widely adopted by citizens, businesses, and stakeholders across Europe. Firstly, WP6 focused on identifying a list of QEAAs based on relevant use cases for the project. It is currently validating the wallet functionalities and planning the testing of these QEAAs to ensure interoperability. 📌Rome, 17th-19th September - #NOBIDConsortium meeting That’s a wrap! Our three-day event has seen the participation of members from the six countries of the NOBID consortium. More than 100 people met up in Rome to share updates on the LSP in relation to the EU Digital Identity Wallet project and to plan the next steps that will lead us toward a new generation of eID and electronic #payment solutions for European citizens. Once again some of Europe’s most trusted identity experts had the opportunity to work together during brainstorming meetings, technical Work Packages sessions and open discussions, building valuable knowledge to ensure an effective cross-border interoperability. In Rome, we had the great opportunity to celebrate with public and private partners the milestones and the targets already achieved but also to showcase the planned activities for the second year’s project, under the leadership of the European Commission. 💯End of day 1, for the NOBID Consortium meeting in Rome! Today we started with opening words from the coordinator, an introductory speech from the European Commission, and a video message from the Director General of Digdir. Later on, we followed up with information on late-stage deliverables from the WP1 Lead, with a presentation of the new members who joined the Consortium from WP2 and WP3. Finally, there have been discussions on testing/piloting and cross-consortia testing mainly involving the technical Work Packages. The NOBID Consortium meeting will continue tomorrow with working sessions for the WPs and the Plenary. 📣 What’s up: latest news from the Advisory Board   Today, the NOBID Consortium hosted the 2nd Advisory Board meeting.
