Notes from Mumbai
The past two weeks have been a whirlwind of activities ! We had the opportunity to present our plastic pollution awareness campaign to the enthusiastic students of Vidyavardhini's College of Engineering & Technology. Together, we expressed our thoughts on the critical impacts of plastic waste and encouraged them to take action by joining our mission.
In the days that followed, we embarked on a clothing donation drive, sorting through items for reuse and sending unusable stock off to be upcycled. With daily pick-ups, we’ve amassed over 200 kg of clothing in just two weeks—each piece a step toward sustainability!
This Sunday’s beach cleanup was particularly special. While the turnout was smaller due to the festival season, we were thrilled to welcome new faces eager to make a difference. Their enthusiasm was infectious and reminded us that every effort counts.
A standout moment from these weeks was participating in the India Clean Up Confluence 2024—a truly enriching experience. It was a privilege to share insights from Eyesea and learn from other inspiring leaders dedicated to our cause. A heartfelt thank you to Greenmyna and Carter Clean Up for organizing such an impactful event, which brought together changemakers and artists from all over the country.
Meeting those whose work we deeply admire filled us with gratitude and renewed purpose. we are confident that, together, we can strive toward a more sustainable and greener planet. Thank you to everyone involved in this journey!
