Open-source feature management software for Enterprises. Move from all-or-nothing releases to safe, frequent deployments
Om oss
Unleash is an open-source feature management software, built with large enterprises in mind. It's private, secure, scalable, and ready for the most complex setups out-of-the-box. Move from all-or-nothing releases to safe and frequent deployments Instead of perfecting a merge and fixing bugs when a set of features go live, you can release individual changes to your users, then immediately roll them back if something goes wrong. This means a lot more frequent canary releases that are easily reversible. Scale your software and infrastructure at your own pace Reduce the complexity of feature flag management and tracking through a simple, user-friendly dashboard Keep your user data to yourself. Full stop. By design, Unleash offers private instances as part of its SaaS package. Along with Unleash assets like its proxy and Edge offerings, SaaS Unleash user data remains entirely with the customer. Significantly cut costs and reduce the drain on resources Unleash reduces a significant amount of administrative costs, technical debt and helps you focus on the tremendous benefits that come with feature flags. Feature management designed to be simple and powerful. Multi-region. Safe, transparent, and regulation-friendly.

Most security breaches can be tied to misappropriated credentials, according to IBM's annual Cost of a Data Breach report. In case you need a reason not to share accounts for mission-critical systems like Feature Management platforms, Mateusz Kwasniewski gives 6 reasons in his latest blog. https://lnkd.in/eEAf6iZn

Unleash was just featured in the Thoughtworks Technology Radar. The first sentence really resonates with what we see when working with some of the largest enterprises in the world: "Although using the simplest feature toggle possible remains our recommended approach, scaling teams and faster development make managing hand-crafted toggles more complex." When you are Visa, or Samsung, or a leading e-commerce provider like Wayfair, "simple" toggles themselves become complex very quickly. The big challenge with feature flags isn't the "if statement" logic. It is the performance, scale, access controls, data privacy, audit, etc. Great to see that Unleash is being recognized for solving those complex problems while providing a "good developer experience and friendly UI for administration." Congrats to the Thoughtworks team for another comprehensive Tech Radar. The amount of brain power that goes into such a wide-ranging report is really impressive. https://lnkd.in/eskFFhCV

Bittersweet. It's been an amazing #unleashcon but all good things must end. Wrapping up with Jeanette Pranin Corin from fabric Jeanette is talking about how feature flags were essential to safely releasing a major design system update across their micro-frontends architecture. 🖥️ Key takeaways: * Feature flags allowed them to run two design systems side-by-side, gradually rolling out the new version while maintaining the old one. * This method of progressive rollout let them test new designs with internal teams and beta users before going live. * Unleash helped reduce risk during deployments, turning features on/off in nanoseconds. * Feature flags were key to modernizing the platform without downtime, making it a smoother experience for both users and developers. 🔄 Thank you Jeanette for sharing your experience!

Now, at #unleashcon, we have Mark Quigley from Wayfair talking about their journey with feature flags. Wayfair’s story of moving from a homegrown feature toggle system to Unleash highlights the importance of scalability and reducing developer overhead. 🛋️ Before Unleash, it took Wayfair around 40 minutes to propagate changes through their system. Now, with Unleash, feature toggles update instantly, significantly improving their deployment process. Key takeaways: * Unleash is 1/3 the cost of maintaining their old homegrown system. * Wayfair now handles over 80,000 requests per second without slowing down feature releases. * 400 projects rely on Unleash to deploy features into production. * Unleash’s scalability and custom strategies help them handle complex use cases while keeping costs down. With Unleash, Wayfair not only scales effortlessly but also accelerates their feature rollout, ensuring a smoother, faster experience for both their teams and customers. 🛒

Hans Kristian Flaatten 🕊️🍉from NAV is speaking now at #unleashcon Nav is a government agency that is responsible for managing 1/3 of Norway's national budget. No pressure. Hans shared how they moved from quarterly releases to 2,500 weekly deployments using feature flags. That’s right, from 4 releases a year to 2,500 a week! 😲 Key takeaways: * Feature flags helped reduce the risk of rolling out new welfare services to citizens. * They’ve streamlined their deployment process, which allows them to push updates quickly and safely. * NAV’s journey is a perfect example of how you can go from slow, painful quarterly releases to daily innovation. That kind of transformation shows how feature flags help scale development while maintaining control over complex systems.

Erik Johs @ Medidata Solutions a Dassault Systèmes company talking at #unleashcon now. He is taking us inside their high-stakes world of clinical trial management where downtime isn’t just frustrating—it comes with heavy financial penalties. 💸 Feature flags helped them experiment in production without exposing users to bugs or downtime. Key takeaways: * In regulated industries, mistakes can lead to six-figure fines. Feature flags give a controlled safety net. * Unleash enabled them to roll back features instantly without restarting deployments. * They’ve halved the time needed to safely roll out features. * Feature flags are key to moving faster, without compromising quality or compliance. ⚖️
