I love the focus on building each other up!! Working on your resume + cover letter + interview skills is of course important as an immigrant. But so is sharing our learning, resources, and compassion. I would have nothing here in Norway if it weren't for so many people who have built me up - Svetlana Skurtveit helping me in a visa crisis, Gustavo Sugahara and Ellen Aabo with career advice, Erika Gubrium for including me in her family, colleagues like Gerd Johanne Hestnes and Leendert Wienhofen who work quickly to connect people, Martine Kråkø Romstad who recognizes/applauds/builds diversity of thought, Tore Betten for all-around ❤️, and dozens more. Diversify's mentoring program for immigrants, by immigrants has been a GREAT way to mobilize necessary practical & emotional support... and I've gotten to connect with and learn from my mentee Karol Baca Lopez, senior low-code/no-code developer, experienced product manager, former professor, former entrepreneur, with a PhD in machine learning for health sciences 🤯Thank you, Miguel Angel Leyva Salas
