I was thrilled to join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Smart Business podcast together with the talented Linn Gracey, to discuss the importance of indoor air quality and how we balance software and hardware development at Airthings. We also explored how Gen AI can help educate people about air quality. Another highlight of the discussion was a topic close to my heart: Women in tech. At Airthings, we're proud to have some incredible women on our Leadership team! So thrilled to visit the Airthings office in person today! I'm a huge fan of devices that make the invisible visible in a calm way, and the View Plus follows the Principles of Calm Technology while alerting people to the dangers of Radon gas in their homes and offices (as well as elevated levels of C02, particulates and more). They're helping to improve human health and indoor air quality for thousands of people. If you're interested in looking at the air quality in your home, you can get one here: https://lnkd.in/gm6GCJ_5 Thanks for designing a stellar product. Airthings was first on my list for Calm Tech Certification! #calmtech #airquality #health
🌟 Guess who just visited the Airthings office? None other than the incredible Amber Case! 🌟 Amber, the OG Cyborg Anthropologist 🤖✨ and founder of the Calm Tech movement, graced us with her presence and what an inspiring, albeit all to short, exchange we had! From geeking out over radon (yes, it’s a thing we’re passionate about! 😉) to discussing how technology can enhance lives by doing LESS, every moment was a reminder of why she’s a trailblazer in human-tech harmony. 🧠💻 Oh, and did we mention? Our View Plus—the ultimate IAQ monitor—has officially been Calm Tech Certified™! 🏆👏 A huge shoutout to Amber for recognizing our mission to make indoor air quality solutions as unobtrusive and user-friendly as they are essential. Amber’s achievements: 💡 Speaker of “We Are All Cyborgs Now” fame on TED 📚 Author of Designing Calm Technology and An Illustrated Dictionary of Cyborg Anthropology 🌍 Advocate for technology that works quietly in the background… and let’s face it, we could all use less tech drama! 🙃 Amber, your visit was well received and this will not be our last conversation. Thanks for sharing your insights, humor, and vision with the team. Let’s keep shaping a future where people (and the planet!) come first. 🌱💨 🚀 If you haven’t already, check out Amber’s work and discover why “less is more” isn’t just a motto… it’s a way forward. #CalmTech #Innovation #IndoorAirQuality #RadonRevolution #TechThatCares 💙 Annabel Robertson Evelien Jacobs

This is not an ad… (or is it?) 🤔 Here’s the deal (pun intended): Black Friday is right around the corner, and we’ve got some early access magic happening for our consumer products over at Airthings. Sure, it’s not our usual B2B talk here, but who says fresh air and great deals can’t coexist? Honestly, I’m just here to brag about the animation in this ad; it’s so trippy, I think it might have improved my indoor air quality just by watching it. (That’s not scientifically proven, but let’s roll with it. 😜) So, if you’re into clean air and cool deals, head over to our site and take a peek. No pressure. But also… you might want to hurry. 👀 Happy Friday, everyone! Let’s keep it fresh. 🌟🍃 #BlackFriday #IAQ #Airthings #NotAnAd #OrIsIt #FunWithFreshAir Rebecka Næss Bathe Evgenia Yuryeva Annabel Robertson Evelien Jacobs Alexandra Takacs

Visualizing Radon 💫 A while back, I shared how radon gas is like a squadron of Stormtroopers: one or two with terrible aim aren’t much of a threat, but when you gather a whole squadron, the danger becomes very real. 🎯 Well, here’s a visual to take it up a notch; Radon decay in action. This video shows the radioactive disintegration happening at an atomic level, and it’s as chaotic as a Stormtrooper shootout. Imagine this happening inside your lungs when radon levels build up. 😬 Why should you care? Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that can accumulate in buildings, especially in lower levels like basements. Over time, exposure to high radon concentrations can lead to serious health risks, including lung cancer. The key is knowing your radon levels, so you can act before the squadron gathers. What can you do? 👉 Test your home for Radon. 👉 Mitigate if levels are high (it’s easier than you think). 👉 Stay informed. Radon is the silent threat most people don’t even know exists. 🎥 Check out the video to see radon decay in action. It’s science, it’s fascinating, and it’s a reminder to stay vigilant. #Radon #IndoorAirQuality #Stormtroopers #SafetyFirst #RadonDecay Aaron Goodarzi Tod Boss Julie G. 🌱 Last week, I attended Greenbuild in Philadelphia, PA—my first professional tradeshow—and what an amazing experience it was! Growing up, I went to a few similar events, but seeing how much momentum healthy building technologies have gained over the years was incredible. It was so exciting to witness the cutting-edge work being done to push the limits of green building and indoor air quality—and to be there representing Airthings! Sharing how our technology helps create healthier, more sustainable spaces made the experience even more rewarding. Shoutout to my amazing colleagues with me Robert Kopper and Adriana I. Raibstein! A big thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat, and to the organizers for putting together such an inspiring and well-run event. I’m already looking forward to the next one! To my new connections, it was a pleasure to meet and discuss IAQ! #Greenbuild #IAQ #Sustainability #Airthings

🔥"An Unforgettable Moment at the 2024 CoreNet Global Summit” 🔥 I had the privilege of attending an incredible panel at #CoreNet in Washington, DC where Amazon and 9 Foundations, Inc. discussed “How – and Why – Amazon Rolled out a Global Indoor Air Quality Program”. The session was nothing short of outstanding - so good, that I couldn't wait to share it. Thank you Katie Hughes, Sofia Rodriguez, MS, CIH, Marissa Rainbolt, Joseph Allen for being so open and generous with your expertise. 👉Quick challenge: before reading the article, take a guess: How many sensors were part of the global rollout? 30? 300? or something bigger? The answer may surprise you. 🤯 Catch the 4 key takeaways from the session below. To top it off, Airthings received a HUGE shout-out on stage! 🙏 🎉 #iaq #healthybuildings #sustainability #leadership #thinkbig #CoreNet2024
