How does LinkedIn cater to people with international backgrounds? Can I find out how the algorithm distributes my posts across my network in different countries? 🤔 I was eager to learn... 👀 🌱 I made an inventory of my own LinkedIn network. I was curious to find out what countries are represented in my network on this platform. The result: Dutch + Danish = over 75% of my network accounted for. 🌿 I went through post analytic data to look at the locations in the tab “Top Demographics”. 💡 Did you know that currently LinkedIn Analytics per post are only retrievable for 180 days after posting? 💡 To my surprise, you don’t get a complete overview of demographic information, only the five largest chunks are shown in what LinkedIn analytics has to offer. And I have the feeling that what I see here is also something that LinkedIn might deem interesting for me, a case of curated data?... Based on the information I see, I could tell people in both Denmark and the Netherlands had seen my posts. However… The most realistic answer to my question of visibility of my posts across my network is (and partly answering how LinkedIn caters to people with international backgrounds): ✳ Whether my posts are seen throughout my network depends on my own interactions with people on the network prior to posting ✳ Further, it depends on the people and organizations I tag and in general, whether or not the first few people like the content that they see ✳ Staying active after posting for ten minutes or so can help drive visibility Next week I will hold a workshop on how to use LinkedIn in Denmark for people signed up with the Job Search Support Programme at Vejle Kommune, organized by Louise Nielsen and Tove Reinert. I’m excited to meet new friendly faces! 🤩 If you are interested in learning more about using LinkedIn, leave your thoughts and questions in a comment 👍 #linkedinworkshop #internationals #curious

You might think that being a DJ and an entrepreneur have no similarities, but the truth is - they have a lot more in common than you might imagine. I know it may sound strange, but hear me out. As a DJ, I learned to read the crowd and understand what they want to hear, what makes them dance, and what makes them feel good. In entrepreneurship, it's the same. You must listen to your customers, understand their needs, and create products/services to satisfy them. Another similarity is that you are in charge of your own success in both DJing and entrepreneurship. You have to make it happen; no one will do it for you. And just like in DJing, where sometimes you have to take risks and experiment with new sounds and techniques, entrepreneurship requires you to be creative and think outside the box. So, if you're a DJ and you're thinking about starting your own business, or if you're an entrepreneur looking for inspiration, remember that the skills you already possess as a DJ can be your secret weapon in the world of entrepreneurship. Artists are entrepreneurs, and vice versa. What do you think? Do you agree or disagree? Share your thoughts in the comments!

I visualised and summarised these concepts from The Diary Of A CEO podcast. 10 Strategies to Enhance Brain Function (Boost Memory and Retention) 1. Optimal Brain Nutrition Healthy Brain Foods: • Avocados • Blueberries • Broccoli • Olive oil • Eggs • Leafy greens such as kale and spinach • Fish high in Omega-3, such as sardines and salmon • Turmeric • Walnuts • Dark chocolate Foods to Avoid: • Processed items • Foods high in sugar (sugar can be as addictive as many drugs) • Alcohol • Cannabis (Marijuana) 2. Killing ANTS Transform automatic negative thoughts (ANTs) by focusing on positivity and constructive thinking. 3. Exercise Rhythmic activities like walking can help to retain information. Physical movement also stimulates the production of Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factors (BDNFs), essential for brain health. 4. Essential Brain Nutrients The brain benefits significantly from nutrients such as Vitamin D and Omega-3s. While quality supplements work, natural sources such as sunlight exposure and consuming fish are preferable. 5. Maintain a Clean Environment Minimise exposure to air and water pollution and avoid plastics to reduce their detrimental impacts on brain health. 6. Organised Living Space Avoid using your phone during the first and last 30 minutes of your day. Regularly clean your living space and make your bed. 7. Quality Sleep Both the quantity and quality of sleep are crucial. Lack of sleep reduces problem-solving skills and ability to focus etc. Quality sleep can help overcome this, with deep sleep revitalising the body and REM sleep restoring the mind. 8. Protect Your Brain Protect your brain from physical injuries. Many athletes suffer from issues due to past concussions. 9. Continual Learning Regular reading can significantly boost mental exercise and cognitive engagement. 10. Stress Management Mitigate stress through various practices like breath work, cold showers, meditation and journaling to maintain mental well-being. Implement these steps consistently to significantly improve your memory and overall brain function! In Aug23, I doubted myself as an entrepreneur because, In Jul23, I returned from a 15-day Euro-trip. And, In Aug23, I felt burned out with the work. Yes, workload was high - improving sales, - launching a new product line, - fundraising etc. But, Workload of a founder is always high. Then I realised, The burnout wasn't due to workload. But, Too much unfinished work. And it createsu, - feeling of overwhelmingness, - building into anxiety - resulting in burnout So, I acted on one project at a time. And, achieved more the next month, without any burnout. Unfinished work causes burnout, Not too much work. And that's why, - Short vacations - a weekend off Are inefficient way to handle a burnout. What do you think? PS : Pic from the same vacation, making the pic relevant for the post. Bhujiya jaruri hai. ******* Follow Shubham Bansal for unfiltered life stories and learnings.

MY BIGGEST F*CK-UP AS A STARTUP FOUNDER 😱 In April 2020, covid hit all of us very hard. As a startup founder of a small business, I was scared. Like everyone else, we started working from home and shifted our business 100% online. As a social media marketing agency, it was definitely much easier than for a restaurant or any other product based business that relied on physical store space. While every other business owner I knew cut loose staff and office space, I was very proud that I didn't have to fire anyone during the pandemic. But.... My biggest f*ck-up was: I was holding on to our office space and paid rent every month. 💶 I was emotionally attached as it was our first ever office: Just 2.5 years ago, I had been sitting with electricians and carpenters discussing in broken Hindi and English how to build the desks and storage units and where to install the security cameras and the lights. 💡 I knew some of my business friends who had negotiated reduced rents for the time of the official lockdown imposed by the government but our landlord (a big real estate company that was bleeding money everywhere) was not ready to reduce our rent and referred to the "force majeure" clause in our rent agreement. 📄 So after 3 months of hoping the pandemic would end and we could return to the office, I had to do what I should have done right in the beginning: I had to give up on our office space. 😭 I absolutely believe in listening to your heart and your gut feeling in business. But I also believe that some decisions have to be taken with a calculated mind. You have to take difficult decisions to protect your business and keep your long-term vision in mind. 🚀 This f*ck-up cost me a few lakhs and tears. It was an expensive business lesson to learn. I am sharing this here so that you can learn from my mistakes for free. Send this to someone in your network who runs a startup or is thinking of starting a business. 📩 #femaleentrepreneur #startupfounder #businesslessons

A story about costumer service… the good and the bad The one department who doesn’t understand its role and the other department who does and rectifies the problems created by the department who doesn’t… I’m traveling with Sunweb Group. Wants to book one of their local trips at the destination. Goes through their app which their it department should take care of. It seems as IT Sunweb doesn’t know anything about consumer journies nor service… Clicks the link in their app —> goes outside the app🙃 Needs to fill in a ton of information which sunweb already have in their system - booking numbers, passport numbers on all = 4 people. It takes soo long the session ends🙈needs to start over. Second time - almost at the end, the site stalls. Can’t press ‘continue’. Tries to refresh = back to start🙈 Third time. This time ends at the same ‘continue’…. Give up and email the local guide that I’ve talked to earlier. 2 minutes later I get a call - it’s the guide. His response: I’ll be at your hotel in 15 minutes (we’re talking 22:00…) He shows up and helps book the trip. It took less than 5 minutes. So my point: every department should know its role in creating good products. This guide certainly does. Sunweb Group can be very proud of him. Excellent service which outweighs an awful consumer journey created by IT. Perhaps Mieke De Schepper should have a chat with the IT department at Sunweb Group because nor customers nor guides think the current solution works but IT doesn’t listen…. Go figure🤷🏻♂️

𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗜 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱 - 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝟭: 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 🗯 As most of my network know, I have been struggling with post-Covid for a prolonged period of time. I have now worked my way back out of it and want to share a few learnings that I believe can be applied to business and life in general. Some of the patterns only become visible in hindsight, and I hope some of you who might be facing similar challenges in your work or personal life may benefit from the experiences I made to make it lighter for them. To make the posts bearable, I am breaking it down into five smaller and more digestable chunks that I will be posting over the next two weeks. ⚡ Post-Covid hit me unexpectedly. I was fully vaccinated and made it through the high phase of the pandemic unscathed. In March 2022, I eventually tested positive for the first time, only a few months after competing in IRONMAN Frankfurt and Munich Marathon, and presumably in good physical shape. The infection itself was not pleasant, but also nothing overly scary, and something I would have shrugged off as a regular flu in a pre-Covid world. The trouble only began when I tried to go for an easy run for the first time more than two weeks later – my heart rate skyrocketed and I felt totally exhausted after five minutes of easy jogging. I took another week of rest, tried again, same results. That same pattern repeated over weeks and weeks with no visible signs of improvement. 💥 The hardest part in this early stage was to accept something was fundamentally not right and that I would not bounce back to a „normal“ training routine quickly. It took me several months to come to terms with that and adjust my schedule of physical activities accordingly. Without my wife’s insistence to get thoroughly checked, I might still be trapped in that vicious cycle – more about that in the second part. 🎯 𝗠𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆: You have to accept that there actually is a relevant issue before you can shift into a change mindset. Clinging to the concept that the current situation is a temporary deviation only stands in the way of sustainable improvements. If the challenge you are facing is persistent, rip the band-aid off the sooner, the better, and do not try to answer today’s questions with yesterday’s answers. Having someone assess the situation from the outside can help to get an unbiased view if you actually need to shift gears, and what the best approach could be in your case. #change #changemanagement #changemindset #postcovid #lessonslearned #schooloflife

Bike leasing is becoming a louder buzz day after day. The practical side of it says that it is a great option to subscribe to a bike as a service. Showy, BaaS. Being analytical, we learned that Swapfiets was having a hard time. Pon put in 109M€ with an unsuccessful output so far. Surprisingly, Swapfiets' sister company Lease a Bike | Deutschland, more focused on the B2B orbit, is doing well. We all know that the car rental and leasing market has an important impact on sales. For instance, in Spain, it means 26% of global sales, according to AER Asociación Española de Renting de Vehículos. Belgium's market is supported by leased bike operations by 40%. This means that the bike arena could be suitable for something similar. I am surely wrong when thinking that leasing a high-end MTB or e-MTB bike implies some risks due to the nature of the ride of that kind of bike. Both at integrity and profitability levels. Leasing road, gravel, and overwhelmingly urban and short-reach bikes is pretty likely to become a solution for some and a business for others and benefits all. Brilliant minds such as myStromer AG and Cowboy offer their own leasing services, say BaaS. According to Statista, bike sharing market is expected to hit almost 500.000M€ (0.5B€ across the pond). By 2028, 31M users will enjoy this kind of short-term option of leasing/pay-per-use/this bike is not mine but works. Even in the always vibrant Madrid, one of the less cycling-friendly cities around, BiciMAD, a public bike service, hit an astonishing number way above 6M rides in 2023. You only need some patience or expect a swift positive reaction, depending on where you read this to see how bike leasing in any of its variants blooms to become one more opportunity to captivate our society's habits. I was not reluctant to accept it, but certainly doubtful, but now I am ready to change my mind. 😎 I stole this pic from C de Comunicación website.

🚀 Start-up journey: standing on the cliff, scared to jump yet ready to fly When entrepreneurship is more about inner development rather than actual entrepreneurship... At least for me it is! On Monday, I shared a post feeling overwhelmed, practically calling out for a lifeline. During this week, several lifelines found me through meaningful conversations with unexpected people. And the thing is: I'm scared. Really scared. I feel like I'm standing on top of a mountain. Turning back is no longer an option so it’s time to leap. Time to really ‘go to market’ and go all in with the journey and vision I’ve created for GINI. The conversations this week were mostly people asking me: 'What are you really afraid of?', 'What's the worst that could happen?' I couldn't answer these easily. After some serious introspection, I've identified my main fears: 🔸 Fear of failure (/loss) 🔸 Fear of being undervalued 🔸 Fear of success These are the fears and limiting beliefs I've known my whole life and it's a journey to reframe them into something more empowering. I’m still in that process, knowing that to really leap, I have to shift these fears into courage, self-worth and a belief that even if I crash, I will always rise again. I know this journey will push me to evolve even further. Be bolder, louder and prouder, ready to leave an impact. Thanks to everyone contributing to my journey! 🧡 📸 Madeira - October 2022 #StartUpJourney #Fears #GoToMarket #InclusiveTravel #FairTourism #SupportLocal #Community #GINI #QueerTravel #AccessibleTravel #BiculturalTravel #InclusiveTourism My name is Virginia Scheele, a social impact entrepreneur. I'm the founder and CEO of GINI, an inclusive tour operator offering travel experiences to overlooked communities. In addition, I’m building the #SaaS platform TravelBuddies by GINI, focused on connecting people through shared travel experiences, helping to combat the rising loneliness. Both ventures are dedicated to gender equality, reducing inequality and fostering economic growth. Preparing for a #crowdfunding round in '25!

"From Solo Entrepreneur to Growth Mindset: Lessons Learned from 1.5 Years of Failing Forward" In the last 1.5 years, I’ve embarked on an intense and challenging journey. I founded a business focused on sustainable travel, driven by a deep passion for both the environment and adventure. Starting out, I was determined to handle every aspect myself. I built a website for trip bookings, integrated a CRM for operations, designed creatives, edited videos, ran marketing ads, and even followed up on leads in between classes. I managed to convert a few leads, book entry tickets, arrange transportation, and meet some incredible people along the way. But ultimately, the weight of doing everything alone took its toll. As I pushed forward, the excitement began to wear thin. I realized that I couldn't sustain the business on my own, so I tried sharing my vision with friends, hoping to bring them on board. Yet, I learned something vital: you can’t just sell an idea—you need to inspire people to believe in it as much as you do. I struggled to translate my distant dream into something tangible for others, and while I made progress, the business didn’t materialize in the way I had hoped. Despite that, the journey wasn’t a failure. I gained priceless insights into entrepreneurship, teamwork, and the limits of what one person can achieve alone. Along the way, family challenges also set me back for a while, and I lost a few people who had always supported me. But through all of this, my passion for growth and technology never faded. One of the proudest moments came when my team—William Issac Bennet , Thanushree K , Jyotsna A G , and I—along with our guide, Dilip Chandra Enamala , won the Best Paper Award at IEEE MysoreCon 2024 under the track Technological Interventions for Automobiles. This recognition reaffirmed our collective love for innovation and problem-solving, especially in areas where technology can make a significant impact. Now, I’m ready to get back on track. I’ve taken the lessons I’ve learned and am applying them to new projects, with a renewed focus on technology and teamwork. My immediate goal is to secure a frontend or software intern role and I’m revisiting core concepts and sharpening my skills to make it happen. I'm eager to connect with like-minded individuals and find my tribe. If you're willing to lend support, offer guidance, or collaborate, let's connect!

Hey everyone! 🌟 I’m excited to share a new social media strategy I’ve developed for Rugby Klub Heusenstamm. We’re organizing their Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter feeds with a fresh and visually appealing approach: alternating between neutral and informative posts. 🎨📚 👉 Neutral Posts: These are aesthetically pleasing posts that keep the feed looking clean and cohesive. Think of them as visual breathers, adding balance and style to the overall look. 👉 Informative Posts: These are packed with engaging content, updates, and important information for the fans. From match highlights to team news, these posts keep everyone in the loop. This alternating pattern creates a beautifully organized feed that’s not only easy on the eyes but also ensures that key information stands out. It’s a smart and stylish way to keep the content engaging and well-structured. Check out Rugby Klub Heusenstamm’s social media to see this new concept in action! If you're interested in giving your own social media a fresh look, feel free to reach out. Let’s make your feed both functional and fabulous! ✨🙌 #SocialMediaStrategy #FeedOrganization #RugbyKlubHeusenstamm #GraphicDesign #WebDesign #DesignBlackBird #SocialMediaTips #SmartDesign #CasualDesign #EngagingContent

Well, the sun is out (almost). The summer hols ⛱ have started (or so it seems, if you read about the massive traffic jams) and the starting gun is just about to kick-off the Olympics 🏅 . So, are we all set for the deck chairs and our holibobs? If you need cover over the next month, or keep the lights burning for your b2b / b2c business, then let me know. I'll still be here, ready with my pen (OK, keyboard) for any copywriting or PR needs. #copywriting #pr #communications #b2b #b2c
