“New technologies enable activities that fall into one of two categories: 1) doing things you could already do but can now do better 2) doing new things that you simply couldn’t do before. [..] the first category tends to get more attention, but it’s the second that ends up having more impact on the world.” - wise words from Chris Dixon. When considering the impact of Gen-AI on loyalty marketing and CRM, it’s definitely the second category that interests me more; imagining how it can support ‘doing brand new things that you simply couldn’t do before’. I suspect this will be an evolving chapter in my book, but here’s my thoughts on it today.

This is so interesting to me. More & more marketers are using AI to boost productivity and help craft their marketing materials. Yet too much use of AI can put the brand's authenticity at risk ( things start to seem fake). The brands in this article have drawn a line in the sand.
