Exploring Biotech Talent Unlocked: Cross-border collaboration 🌍🧬 Recently, Minister Wiebke Osigus of Lower Saxony visited Groningen to explore Biotech Talent Unlocked, a cross-border project connecting talent across Northern Netherlands and Northwest Germany. Led by BIO Cooperative and supported by Interreg Deutschland-Nederland, the project supports international partnerships and professional exchange in the biotech sector. During this brief working visit, Cor Kamminga and Daan van Oldeniel of BIO Cooperative outlined the project’s goals through 2025, with support from Hanze University of Applied Sciences, NHL Stenden Hogeschool and University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer. Together, they showcased how Interreg A is facilitating real, impactful cooperation in biotech innovation. Our Green Business Challenge students shared stories about the project’s three-day business sprint, where they collaborated intensively to solve industry cases for local biotech companies. Minister Osigus noted how projects like these are essential for addressing cross-border talent gaps and spotlighting exciting career paths. A big thank you to all involved, including: BIO Cooperative, Life Science & Technology | Hanze, Knowledge Center Biobased Economy, BBENG, Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer and 3N Kompetenzzentrum e.V.. We’re excited to see how these efforts continue to power biotech and sustainability in the region! 💡🌍 #TheGreenBusinessChallenge #TGBC24 #BiotechTalentUnlocked

🌿 Throwback to the Biobased Edition! Just two months ago the Biobased Edition of The Green Business Challenge took place. What an amazing few days it was! Our favorite highlights: Day 1: We hit the road in electric cars from Pouw Rent Autoverhuur, heading to Oldenburg, Germany, where our teams met their case owners and dove into their challenges. Day 2: At the Fair Furniture Academy in Emmen, our teams worked hard on their cases, fueled by a workshop. A full day of intense focus and creativity! Day 3: The grand finale at BioBizz Hub in Balk! After a pitch training by Tristan Hofman, our teams presented their innovative solutions to Paques, INNODEEN®, and Biosintrum. We wrapped up with drinks, pizza and a lot of inspiration for the future. Thanks to everyone who made this edition a success! 🌍💚 We'll be back... - in German and Dutch in the comments - What the The Green Business Challenge Biobased edition was like? We'll show you! 🎬 Just a couple of weeks ago, another Green Business Challenge took place. But it was not like any other we'd done. It was focused on a Biobased economy! And here's how it went down... Students from all over the world had the chance to participate in solving real biobased problems that organizations encounter today. In teams, they methodically disected the cases from Biosintrum, Paques and INNODEEN® and formulated very creative and extensive answers. Different from the previous Green Business Challenges, these students only had three days to come up with their solutions! However, in these three days the future business developers showed an inspiring amount of work ethic and even worked until late in the evenings. And as for the cherry on top, the teams got the chance to present their ideas to the case owners and other professionals in the BioBizz Hub in Balk! Moderated by Tristan Hofman and with a special appearance of our keynote speaker Jaap Vogelaar, the event became a joy to watch! 🌿 So, why should you sign up as a case owner for the next edition of the Green Business Challenge? Because it gives your company the opportunity to collaborate with talented young people from around the world, discover innovative solutions and make a valuable contribution to a more sustainable future 🌱🌍 Be sure to check our website for more information, and maybe we'll see you as a case owner in one of our upcoming editions... 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eDV2hiGH A concept by BBENG Part of Biotech Talent Unlocked and Interreg Vl A Powered by Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, NHL Stenden Hogeschool, Hanze, University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer, BIO Cooperative, 3N Kompetenzzentrum e.V., hallig hanken by zukunft.unternehmen, INNODEEN®, Biosintrum, Vepa the furniture factory, Gemeente Emmen, Paques, BioBizz Hub, TAEM.io and of course Pouw Rent Autoverhuur. #GreenBusinessChallenge #BiobasedEdition #Sustainability #Innovation #Teamwork #TGBC24 #GreenEconomy #DriversForChange
