Graeme Crickett, our Chief Technical Officer, will be retiring on 31st December 2024. Graeme has been with our company since its establishment 10 years ago and has played an essential role in our growth. His expertise, dedication, and leadership have been instrumental in helping us become one of the leading aircraft engine lessors in the market today. We are incredibly grateful for his immense contribution and the legacy he leaves behind. While it is difficult to say goodbye, we wish him all the best in his well-deserved retirement and every success in his future endeavors. From 1 January 2025, his responsibilities will be taken over by Majeed Akhtar, as the head of Technical Asset Management, and Gary Leung, as the head of Technical Product Support. SAEL owes a lot to Graeme and his limitless dedication to the team. We will miss Graeme but we are all very happy to know he is enjoying his family back in New Zealand.”

SAEL has delivered a PW1133GA-JM engine to Cebu Pacific Air as part of a sale and leaseback portfolio solution. With this delivery, SAEL's portfolio reaches the significant milestone of 100 engines. SMBC Aero Engine Lease (“SAEL”) held third quarter strategy meeting on 17th September 2024 At this third quarter strategy meeting, management and employees discussed the progress of the business in 2024 together with the actions to be taken towards the end of the year. Together with the strategy meeting, SAEL hold a compliance workshop and revisited the compliance policy and the whistle blowing system of the company with all employees. We held a company dinner following our strategy meeting. This event was part of our efforts to further strengthen internal communication and deepen the overall team’s cohesion. The dinner provided a relaxed environment for employees after the long strategy meeting, fostering valuable interactions that are difficult to achieve during regular work hours.
