👨🦱 Let’s Talk About Men’s Mental Health 🌟 (𝘛𝘞: 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘴𝘶𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘥𝘦. 𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦.) Did you know? Men are three times more likely to die by suicide than women, yet far less likely to seek help. The stigma around emotional vulnerability leaves too many men struggling in silence. This Movember, let’s start the conversation. 💬 What can we do? ✅ ASK: Check in by asking how someone is really doing. Try something open-ended and personal like “You don’t seem like yourself lately - how’s everything going?” ✅ LISTEN: Once they start talking, the best thing you can do is listen. Don’t interrupt or rush to offer solutions. Just listen. ✅ ENCOURAGE ACTION: Suggest small, positive steps such as talking to a professional, confiding in someone they trust, or engaging in physical activity. ✅ CHECK-IN: The conversation shouldn't stop at one talk - follow up to show you care. A simple check-in after a few days or a tough week makes a difference. The ALEC model helps break the silence around men’s mental well-being.
