For the past 1.5 years, we as Nova Innova had the pleasure of collaborating with in-lite Outdoor Lighting | Global HQ to redesign Living Light - Park, a lamp uniquely powered by plants. Our goal was to create a piece of #biodesign that is scalable, robust, and visually stunning. Very excited to share with you that we are currently installing this newest design in Het Park van Morgen in Rotterdam in collaboration with Plant-e and Gemeente Rotterdam. ✨ Stay tuned, because soon you'll be able to experience this enchanting pathway illuminated by plants! Excited to feature Nova Innova as today's Startup of the Day! Nova Innova is a Netherlands bio-design startup that creates nature-oriented design concepts. Their work unites microbial fuel cell technology with designs that are accessible to the public to promote sustainable energy generation. Their portfolio is full of plant, water, and light-oriented projects. Founded by Ermi van Oers, Nova Innova has worked on visual water quality monitoring and park lighting, illuminating the parks of Rotterdam. What a milestone moment! Nova Innova officially finished a 4 year innovation process of the POND concept. Together with our valued partners, we have made it possible to give water a voice to the public. Now water can show us how she is doing! By harvesting energy from microbes in the water, we can translate its wellbeing into mesmerizing different colours of lights. Last week’s special event at Diergaarde Blijdorp - Rotterdam Zoo, was truly magical and inspiring. In the sunset the 3 domes of different sizes were telling us their story, accompanied by harmonious music.
