In modern automotive and industrial power systems, higher power demands often lead to paralleling MOSFETs to manage the load. Applications like electric vehicles, brushless DC motors, and power management systems often require kilowatts of power, pushing a single MOSFET beyond its thermal limits. But paralleling MOSFETs brings challenges: unequal current sharing, increased costs, and larger PCB requirements. Join Christopher as he delves into optimizing high-power designs by reducing the number of MOSFETs in parallel with the Nexperia CCPAK1212 MOSFET package. We’re happy to highlight the contributions of Senior System Level ESD Expert, Sergej Bub, at two events last month. RCJ EOS/ESD/EMC Symposium, Tokyo, Japan Sergej presented an insightful paper titled “Automotive High-Speed Interfaces: Future Challenges for System-level HV-ESD Protection and First-Time-Right Design”. His presentation showcased Nexperia's advanced automotive ESD protection portfolio and roadmap, earning a Best Paper Award nomination from the symposium committee! 🏆 Silicon Valley Area Workshop on EMC 2024 Sergej, Kim, and Chuck attended the inaugural workshop, organized in cooperation with the Center for Electromagnetic Compatibility (Missouri University of Science and Technology) and the Industry Advisory Board. Hosted at Rhode & Schwarz, the event allowed our crew to promote our ESD Protection & Filtering Solutions to more than 60 prominent companies from the Bay Area. The team shared expertise, highlighted cutting-edge solutions, and distributed the invaluable Nexperia ESD Application Handbooks, which you can also get a hold of for free - https://lnkd.in/ex2Xdfu5 We are proud of the dedication and expertise of TeamNexperia, whose efforts continue to drive innovation and foster meaningful connections with our industry partners. Thank you, Sergej, Kim, and Chuck, for being outstanding representatives of our mission! 👏

Nexperia's CCPAK1212i & CCPAK1212: Power MOSFET Packages Redefining Thermal Management We’ve designed the CCPAK1212i package to take thermal management for power MOSFETs to the next level. With top-side cooling and a simple flip of the package, the large, exposed copper clip efficiently dissipates heat away from the die and circuit board. The CCPAK1212 series also offers a bottom-side cooling option, providing flexible thermal management solutions for a wide range of applications. Whether you need to cool from the top or bottom, these options are ideal for applications where PCB heat dissipation is not suitable due to sensitive components. Both top-side and bottom-side cooling options ensure optimized heat dissipation, making the CCPAK1212i and CCPAK1212 packages perfect for high-current, high-power applications.
