🌐 GDHP at the G20 Health Ministerial: strengthening global digital health through collaboration 🌐 "The Global Digital Health Partnership is dedicated to advancing digital health for all. We value the collaboration with the G20 and thank Brazil for prioritizing digital health on the G20 agenda," stated Abigail Norville, Chair of the GDHP.   Invited by Brazil’s Minister of Health, Nísia Trindade Lima, the GDHP participated in the #G20 Health Ministerial and Joint Finance and Health Ministerial Meetings in Rio de Janeiro on 31 October 2024. This year’s G20 declaration highlights the importance of international cooperation on #digitalhealth, specifically in aligning legal and regulatory frameworks between countries. GDHP's statements underlined the need for global collaboration while avoiding duplication of efforts, to effectively accelerate #digitalhealthtransformation.   "The GDHP is a unique government-to-government platform that aims to align national digital health policies on key issues such as #interoperability and #cybersecurity. We always welcome countries to join the GDHP, to collectively advance our digital health goals as governments. We look forward to future collaboration with the G20 and the WHO-led Global Initiative on Digital Health."

Launch of the OECD-GDHP Policy Repository Tool 🌱 🌐 Around the world, the advancement of digital health technologies and health information systems have provided tools to address shared #healthsystem challenges – if effectively harnessed. 📊 The GDHP #PolicyEnvironments Workstream and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD - OCDE) have created the OECD-GDHP Policy Repository Tool to map and connect existing and new policy frameworks. 📄 Find the Policy Repository Tool and more information here: https://lnkd.in/eKZPnQhy 💻 The joint #PolicyRepositoryTool builds upon the OECD’s existing Policy Checklist and serves as an international digital health policy repository. On a global level, this dynamic Tool allows countries to identify leading practices worldwide around a variety of topics, such as interoperability and secondary use of data. 📈 It will allow #digitalhealth leaders to understand experiences internationally and pick the best lessons to apply in their context. 🌍 It was an honor to present on the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Technology Policy and the Global Digital Health Partnership (GDHP) during the Pan-American Highway for Digital Health Launch + 3rd Regional Connectathon! Yesterday’s event was a powerful demonstration of collaboration, innovation, and progress in digital health across country borders. 🌍 The introduction of the region’s International Patient Summary (IPS) use case through the Global Digital Health Certification Network is an important step toward improving seamless and secure cross-border exchange of individuals’ health data. Reflecting on the launch of the Guidance for Medical Device Cybersecurity (GMDC) In the panel discussion Elevating Medical Device Security at GovWare on 16 October, moderated by Leon Chang, GDHP Cybersecurity Work Stream Co-Chairs Lisa Lewis Person Tiffany Butler and Fuller Yu launched the GMDC. Many thanks to colleagues from Synapxe for this collaboration and commitment, resulting in a critical resource for securing healthcare devices and systems from cyberattacks.
