Automation integrators in the food processing space should take notice of YASKAWA Europe's announcement of a new solution utilizing Fizyr Panoptic vision integrated with their HD Series robots. https://lnkd.in/gwdwAfq7 HD = 'Hygenic Design', and Yaskawa's HD Series robots are leading the way in food and life sciences automation. The solution is an example of a partnership between Yaskawa, Van Wees Waalwijk, Alpha Robotica BV and Fizyr. Fizyr Panoptic vision is integrated to guide robotic operations for picking raw food and packaged items to include in salad kits. The biggest takeaways from Ken Fleming's Welcome Message at Fizyr's 2024 Automation & Robotics Conference in Delft? * Growth - The drivers for automation (including labor availability / reliability / performance / regulation) are not slowing down * Maturity - We are coming to a period where computer vision in automation is growing from a stage of end user general awareness ("we need this") to execution ("automation with vision will make us more productive") * ROI Analysis Expansion - Scalable automation projects need to look at *all* factors in the financial justification process. Traditional models are evolving to include worker safety, ESG impacts, multiple risk factors and more. * Enabling Implementation - Fizyr - and the entire vision industry in automation - know that to be successful, ease of integration with robots, cameras, grippers and the entire automation eco-system is key A great group of partners added to the discussion, and helped make the day a success, thank you to all! #vision #automation #trends #strategy

We got so much positive feedback from the demonstration from the team MEIKO Group ! Their overview at Fizyr's 2024 Automation & Robotics Conference gave us the big picture for Meiko, but also how vision is integrated into their dish management solution. We're glad to be working with a company with such deep expertise in this area. Everyone commented on their gripper, a kitchen automation tool that can move dishes and has amazing flexibility for its taskset, but can also be cleaned in dishwasher(!!!) Our commercial track was 'biz dev' focused, with a close look at how to talk the talk with vision and automation. Tibor van Melsem Kocsis gave us a sneak peak at a new way to look at ROI in the sales process (more to come on that in November...) Our the 'technical track' we took a deep dive into new features and usability, a review of 2025/2026 roadmap planning, and technical how-to in implementation and support.
