Last week, the EIPA European Board of Governors convened at our headquarters in Maastricht to reflect on the achievements and impact of our 2024 initiatives and to deliberate on priorities and strategies for 2025 and beyond. A central focus was aligning EIPA’s strategy to address the diverse needs of our Member States while ensuring coherence with EU objectives. We look forward to continuing our support for public administrations and sharing best practices with our network and partners, driving innovation and excellence across Europe. AI procurement is complex, requiring alignment with the EU AI Act and GDPR. Model clauses guide ethical and legal compliance, emphasising risk management, data quality, and transparency. Public administrations must adapt processes, particularly for high-risk AI systems and general-purpose AI models. The upcoming EU AI Code of Practice in 2025 will offer further guidance. EIPA Secures New European Commission Training Contract for EU Governance   We are very pleased to announce that EIPA has signed a new multi-annual framework contract with the Directorate-General for Human Resources and Security (DG HR) of the European Commission to provide training on EU governance, policy-making, and international affairs, to the staff of EU Institutions, Bodies and Agencies. This marks our sixth consecutive contract since 2003. Over the next four years, we will continue to provide training services on key topics including: 🔹 Artificial Intelligence 🔹EU decision-making and governance 🔹Green and digital transitions 🔹EU law and policy communication 🔹International relations Through this contract, EIPA will continue to support the development of EU public servants and strengthen the connection between EU and national administrations.
