#UNESCO- UT-City Climate CoLab workshop on Open Data for Sustainable Cities was hugely successful! Looking forward to the next stages on expanding cooperation and projects across cities in different continents through the data, AI, city academia and community co-production process. Great cooperation between Austin/ TX USA, Porto/ Portugal, Kathmandu/ Nepal, The Hauge/ Netherlands, Essex/UK, Singapore, Pune/ India and Latin American cities. Cities become smart and sustainable when they actively engage with academia and the community stakeholders. This Colab concept for Open Data, AI literacy, sustainability, disaster risk reduction and carbon neutrality, and water emerged as the foundation for the future relations.ams partnerships. Thanks also to Taya Owens US Delegation UNESCO and Isha Bhasin #WWRP World Meteorological Organization for the participation and broadening linkages to the new global initiatives such as #PEOPLE and #URBAN. From the majestic view of the Eifel tower, to the casual stroll by largest Picasso painting, everything about UNESCO can be awe inspiring and the backdrop worked just perfectly as we converged from different backgrounds and global cities to create a common path ahead.
