Een kijkje achter de schermen... De docenten van onze afdeling geven niet alleen maar les, begeleiden niet alleen studenten, en doen niet alleen onderzoek. We wisselen ook kennis uit met collega's op congressen. En die congressen moeten natuurlijk ook georganiseerd worden en dit jaar organiseert onze afdeling het jaarlijkse ARPH (Association for Research in Psychology and Health) - hét congres voor Gezondheidspsychologen. Sifra Swagerman Tessi Hengst Yil Severijns zijn vanuit onze vakgroep betrokken bij het organiseren. En dat doen ze met heel veel enthousiasme 🤩 Er wordt momenteel druk gewerkt aan het selecteren van de bijdrages die gepresenteerd gaan worden!

With her work at the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) and as a professor in ‘Health and Environment’ at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Dr. den Broeder is an expert in public health, integrated health policy, citizen science approaches and resident participation. 🌍 Her expertise lies in Integrated Health Policy, exploring how people and their living environments interact. Towards a Sustainable Future in Health Psychology! 🌍✨ In honor of the Dutch climate week, ARPH is pleased to share the practical steps taken to make the upcoming conference more sustainable: • Local keynotes 🌱 --> We chose local speakers who can easily reach the conference by train or car, avoiding long-distance flights. • Digital program 📱 --> To reduce paper usage, we’ll only offer a digital version of the conference program, encouraging attendees to use online resources. • Sustainable catering 🍴 --> Vegetarian meals using local resources will be provided for all attendees. • Sustainable travel 🚆 --> ARPH is encouraging traveling by public transportation and carpooling. Therefore, we chose a venue easily accessible by public transportation. • Energy-conscious venue 🏢 --> The conference will be hosted in a venue committed to energy efficiency and minimal waste.
