Businesses that have embarked on using digital maps have been able to increase employee productivity, communicate visually; reduce cost of logistics, planning, resources by more than half of its initial cost. Many industries that have benefitted from this technology include Online Markets, Delivery companies, Agriculture, Real Estate, Engineering, Media, Energy and Utilities, Insurance, Architecture. Seeing this need especially in Nigeria where cost of logistics is high, resources are wasted in the process and productive time is also wasted leading to fatigue and low outcome; there is therefore the need for route optimization for businesses in Nigeria. TSP (Travelling Salesman Problem) - Nearest Neighbour Algorithm is used to solve the problem of route optimization on Google MAP. This study developed a mobile application in Java, HTML and Google SDKs, to find shortest route between various numbers of locations enumerated on digital maps on a smart device. The application was implemented successfully on the Android Operating System for mobile devices. Anyone can download it from the Google play store, install and freely use.

A report on the application of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Lagos public and private secondary schools is presented. The comparative study investigated the level of availability of ICT facilities in schools, the capacity for using ICT facilities for teaching and learning, the perceived benefits and the problems associated with their adoption. Descriptive survey design was utilized and the sample consisted of 1013 students, 225 teachers and 88 management staff randomly selected from 55 schools in Lagos state. Data collected from the researcher-designed questionnaire were analyzed using percentages. The study revealed that ICT facilities are relatively lacking in public schools. It also reveals the perceived benefits of using ICT in schools to include making teaching-learning interesting, enhancing the speed and quality of work by the management, the teachers and the students. However, the core challenges facing ICT integration in secondary schools are: paucity of funds for purchase and maintenance of equipment, inadequate manpower skills and irregular power supply. It is therefore recommended that proprietors especially government, should increase their funding level and enforce extant policies on the education sector. There should also be periodic retraining of teachers on ICT skills acquisition.

A few months ago, I had the pleasure of hosting a tech clarity session with a Nollywood film producer. She had come across some of my clarity session chronicles and decided to subscribe for a session. My sessions are designed to be interactive and relaxed, helping clients feel comfortable while we dive into their personalities, challenges, and reasons for wanting to make a big change. This approach ensures I can offer the best recommendations tailored to their needs. During our conversation, I asked if she wanted to shift from filmmaking to tech or integrate tech into her movie production skills. She was keen on the latter and mentioned she was considering relocating (or "japaing") and needed skills to stay relevant even if she retired from film production. After a deep dive into her goals and aspirations, we explored AI adoption, data, animation, and other tech-related topics. We settled on a path that would be valuable both in Nigeria and abroad. As we wrapped up, I asked for her feedback. She appreciated that I didn't impose any suggestions but instead guided her through her doubts and offered clarity. For me, these sessions are all about the clients, giving them the space to ask questions and feel heard. Tech is vast and can be overwhelming for newbies. My role is to guide them through starting, navigating challenges, and gaining visibility. So why am I sharing this? I want everyone who would read this to understand that you don’t need to leave that profession you are doing just because you want to get into tech. The beauty of tech is the ability of its users being able to sync tech and its tools in whatever they are doing. So if you are a teacher, doctor, nurse, entrepreneur or you have something doing that brings in that money, you don’t need to leave it and make a complete switch to tech, you can look for ways to sync tech into it to help you work faster, gain more visibility and scale whatever you are doing.
