The Bake for Change Development Foundation is an incorporated NGO that was borne out of a charity baking club, formed by four friends in June 2010.

The idea for the club was born out of the passion for baking shared amongst its members, coupled with the desire to spread this passion to less privileged members of society and empower them at the same time.

With the help of donors, supporters and volunteers, The Bake for Change Development Foundation has expanded its activities from solely baking activities into commissioning projects aimed at spreading love, educating and improving the standards of the facilities that are dear to the Foundation.

Furthermore in 2013 The Foundation was incorporated in a quest to make an even bigger impact with the help of corporate sponsors.

The main objectives of the Foundation are:

    1. To create awareness & dialogue with citizens & stakeholders in the public & private sector with focus on the plight of less privileged children, specifically street children in Nigeria.
    2. To ensure access to educational & vocational training facilities for less privileged children.
    3. To empower less privileged children through mentorship, entrepreneurship & new experiences.
    4. To inspire independence & self-sustainability in the lives of the children we work with.

We currently run a scholarship programme for children in Lagos State Homes that allow them to complete their education in private schools – www.educatethestate.com

In 2015 we received an honor award & recognition from Lagos State Ministry of Youth & Social Development for the work we have done in the State in the last 5 years.
