    Rationale behind the idea
This project is created to present the worldview behind African proverbs, which, as illustrated by Achebe’s quote in his Magnum Opus, Things Fall Apart, are the lubricants for conversations, learning, and storytelling in many African languages.
These proverbs aren’t just important because of their wit but also because each proverb can be a reflection of the worldview of the culture that uses it. Proverbs are shared on social media platforms like Twitter to the point of parody, showing them contextually will, however, help a generation removed from the cultures that birthed the proverbs to better understand the context in which they were created.

This book doesn’t imply that those featured here are the major contenders.
