This November, in honour of Remembrance Month, we take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices of countless individuals who shaped the world we live in today. Did you know that Africans played a vital role in global conflicts, contributing both resources and manpower? Take the story of one remarkable individual—a talented musician who became a hero in a foreign land. Born in Lagos in the late 19th century, his journey from celebrated performer to courageous resistance fighter is a testament to resilience and bravery. Despite having the chance to escape, he chose to stay and fight for a cause greater than himself. Today, his name Augustine Abiola Browne is remembered in Warsaw, the heart of Poland. A lasting symbol of Africa’s profound impact on the world.   Let’s not forget these hidden stories. They remind us of the interconnectedness of our histories and the lasting legacy of Africa’s contributions to the world🌍 Join African historian and documentarian Olasupo Shasore, SAN on afriQatlantic https://lnkd.in/dpDF9Q49
