  • At International Breweries, determination and innovation drive our success. Here's a look back at the grand finale of the second edition of our Retailer Development Programme, GRIT – Growing Retailers Innovatively Together, held in Lagos. This inspiring event marked the conclusion of a month-long journey across Port Harcourt, Onitsha, Ilesha, and Sagamu, where we trained over 700 retailers with a goal of reaching 1,000 by the end of the year. Through GRIT, we empower retailers with the skills, tools, and mentorship they need to adapt to changing market dynamics and grow sustainable businesses. From access to financing and digital tools to business training and mentorship, the initiative reflects our commitment to Inclusion, Education, and Growth. • We recently wrapped up an incredible edition of "My Culture, My Heritage", our exciting initiative that brought together the vibrant cultures within our organization. 🎉 From traditional attires to authentic cuisine, music, and fun games, this initiative provided a unique space for our employees to share their cultural roots and foster deeper connections within our team. With a vibrant runway filled with dazzling colors, where our employees proudly strutted down, showcasing their traditional outfits. Each step was not just a walk but a celebration of heritage, pride, and identity. Between rounds, we captured beautiful moments of freezing smiles, goofy poses, and heartwarming group shots into memories that will last a lifetime. This wasn’t just a day of activities – it was a journey through cultures, stories, and connections that brought us closer together as a team #MyCultureMyHeritage #CelebrateDiversity #InclusionInAction #DEI #TeamCulture #TogetherWeThrive

  • At International Breweries, we understand that success in retail requires determination. Therefore, we are excited to present the progress of the second edition of our retailer development programme – GRIT or Growing Retailers Innovatively Together. The programme is aimed at supporting our retailers with the skills and resources they need to thrive. Through coaching, mentoring and access to essential tools, we’re equipping our partners to invest in their businesses, themselves, their families and their communities. Together, we will help them build truly sustainable businesses and flourish as entrepreneurs. This month-long program was activated across all our operational locations in Port Harcourt, Onitsha, Ilesha, and Sagamu, and concluded with a grand finale in Lagos, where we have trained over 700 retailers, with a goal to reach 1,000 by year’s end. Through our pillars of Inclusion, Education, and Growth, the GRIT initiative now in its second year of implementation aims to support our retailers with business skills training, mentorship, opportunities to scale, and access to much needed resources such as: digital tools, financing and other critical inputs towards adapting to changes in market conditions and sustainable development. We know that we are only as strong as our partners and programmes like #GRIT mean that we are all invested in the #growth and #prosperity of the African continent. The GRIT programme's success demonstrates our commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and economic growth in Nigeria and across Africa.

  • In the months leading up to our recent 47th Annual General Meeting, we took a significant leap in strengthening our financial foundation with the successful completion of our Rights Issue which enabled us to fully repay our forex-denominated loan. During the meeting, our Board Chairman @Nnaemeka Achebe noted that the elimination of #IBPLC’s FX exposure will improve cash flows and will support the company's return to profitability. The offer was supported by our core shareholders and Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev), who took up their rights in full. This has greatly improved our cash flow and reduced risk exposure. Despite the challenges of inflation and currency devaluation, we’re proud to report that we achieved a 19.2% increase in revenue for 2023. With a stronger balance sheet post-AGM, we’re now better equipped to drive innovation, invest in growth opportunities, and deliver increased value to our customers and shareholders. Acknowledging this transformative moment, shareholders expressed optimism and confidence about the company’s future following its upward trajectory We remain committed to the sustainable growth of the company and we’re confident that with our strategic investments and focus on operational efficiency, we’re on the path to long-term profitability. #AGM2024 #IBPLC #SustainableGrowth#BusinessTransformation #RightsIssue #Shareholders
