On Season 2, Episode 2 of the SKO VOTE DEN podcast, titled “Sovereignty on the Ballot, host Jade Begay, NDN Collective Director of Climate Justice Campaign, sits down with powerhouse Matriarch Judith LeBlanc, member of the Caddo Nation of Oklahoma and Executive Director of Native Organizers Alliance, where she leads a national Native training and organizing network that support Tribes, traditional societies, grassroots community groups in urban settings.
In this episode, Jade and Judith discuss the history of how Native people gained the right to vote, the strength of grassroots political power, continued voter suppression efforts, leading the narrative on Native voter data collection and so much more.

We also discuss climate change and the Green New Deal as it pertains to the native vote and what is at stake when it comes to climate change for native communities.
