Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal teams
- Organize and maintain legal documents and files
- Prepare, proofread, and edit legal correspondence, and other documents
- Conduct research and gather relevant information for cases
- Assist with document management systems and databases
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings
- Answer phone calls and take messages with professionalism and accuracy
- Transcribe dictations and prepare legal documents from audio recordings
- Perform general clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and photocopying
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a legal secretary or in a similar role, or relevant tranferable experience
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent proofreading and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and professional communication
