There is such a moment during awakening - when you still manage to cling to the dream that you just had. Then you don't understand whether it was real or just a dream, besides, in minutes it will disappear from your memory forever, leaving only a faint trace. At that moment you feel very strange. And it happens that you remember the dream very well, and it seems as if it is much better than what awaits you after waking up, you want to lie down and watch this dream - but you can't sleep anymore. Although recently most dreams are about war. I have been having strange dreams since childhood, and for some time I managed to remember several of them in the form of this dream cinema.

Maksym Merkulov, also known as Whaler, incorporates conceptual and, to some extent, cinematic elements in his work, building narratives into contemporary rhytms. His releases tell a story - Mothership - the story of an artificial intelligence wandering through space, or Noncommon Sense - about self-exploration, moving to unknown and the journey of internal transformation. Latest release on Gasoline 26 04 is a tribute to the historical events of Chornobyl plant explosion. Whaler hosts broken music events called «Lamana» - community of broken sound likers, who want to popularize broken sound and to help defend the country with it. He performed at various ukrainian venues: Lisniy Prichal (Kyiv), Ganok (Lviv), HVLV (Kyiv), Club 151 (Lviv), ∄ (Kyiv), Kultura Zvyky (Kharkiv), Some People (Kharkiv). Releases on: Bio Future Lab, Mystictrax, Standard Deviation, Gasoline Records, Telesma.
