After months of planning, Maybank Day @ Universiti Malaya came to life today, and it was truly heartwarming to see how much we achieved together. Since early this year, 29 talented Universiti Malaya students in the Maybank Mbassador program have worked tirelessly to turn their ideas into reality. What started as a simple proposal for a blood donation drive quickly evolved into something much bigger. Maybank Day @ Universiti Malaya & #MyFirstMove became a day filled with initiatives designed to create meaningful connections and opportunities for everyone: 🤝 Speedfriending sessions helped freshers meet new people and ease into university life. 🎤 ROARsome Corner allowed UM societies to showcase their causes and invite others to join their movements. 🩸 The Blood Donation Drive saw us collect 120 donations in just one day, showing the incredible difference we can make together. 🎶 Santai Bersama You brought the community together through busking and karaoke, celebrating the talents of UM students. In collaboration with UM GECC, we also helped students prepare for their future through: 💼 Walk-In Interviews and Career Prep Workshops that gave students practical guidance for their next steps. The excitement and energy throughout Kompleks Perdanasiswa were palpable, and it was inspiring to see the students’ hard work pay off. Their dedication, creativity, and passion made this event a success, and I couldn’t be prouder of what they’ve accomplished. My biggest congratulations to So Shui Yuan (William) Jia Herng Siaw Deena Nazley & Kesha for leading this! As your mentor, I couldn’t be prouder. ❤️ This event wouldn’t have been possible without the support of so many people. A heartfelt thank you to UM GECC, UniLah. The Student App, Pusat Perubatan UM, and our amazing Maybank team - Paul, Wanie, Hasif, Dalili Zulaikha and Joel Tey! Your effort and collaboration were invaluable in bringing this event to life. Special thanks to the OC team, Daisy Vincent Xavier Lye Boon Chern Abbygail Ong Vhithyaa Subakaran Peter Fong for managing last-minute logistics and providing endless (emotional 😉) support behind the scenes. ✨ And to Sophia Ang, Chartered MCIPD, Janice Low and Huey Ling Tan – whose wisdom and energy throughout my journey as a Maybank Apprentice have inspired me. Together, in true #MYouth spirit, we created something truly impactful – a day that empowered the youth and strengthened our community. ❤️ #MyFirstMove #MaybankDayUM #EmpowerElevateExpand #CommunityImpact
