Earlier this week, U Mobile participated in a flood aid relief initiative organised by the Ministry of Communications in Putrajaya, pledging RM250,000 to support the Ministry's effort. This is on top of our earlier RM3m donation to Dana Ihsan MADANI, RM200,000 to MERCY Malaysia and RM50,000 donation to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak dan Wanita (KAWAN) — bringing our total contributions for flood relief to RM3.5million.   Additionally, we will soon be mobilising our employees to support MERCY Malaysia in their post-flood recovery efforts. U-Diwali Festival 2024 – A Celebration of Light and Togetherness The U-Diwali Festival 2024 lit up the hearts and spirits of employees on 11th November at BTS and 12th November at Lot 28, as we came together to celebrate the vibrant festival of lights. The festival featured an array of engaging activities and delights, from savoring festive Deepavali cuisine to participating in the creation of colorful Sand Mandala Art, showcasing the richness of Deepavali traditions. At BTS, special booths by Standard Chartered, Pocky, and Farm Fresh added even more excitement with exclusive promotions and freebies that brightened the festive atmosphere. In light of the severe flooding impacting over 150,000 Malaysians in the East Coast, U Mobile has stepped forward with a donation of RM3 million to Dana Ihsan MADANI to support critical flood relief efforts. We are also providing free internet access at temporary evacuation centres (PPS) in affected areas, ensuring victims stay connected with loved ones and enabling aid workers to coordinate relief and rescue operations more efficiently. These efforts embody our unwavering commitment to supporting the nation during challenging times and align with our sustainability agenda.
