The Discover PETRONAS @Schools (DPS) programme recently brought together 120 Orang Asli students from nine secondary schools in Rompin, Pahang together for an inspiring day focused on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Held at the Pusat Intelek Pelajar Orang Asli (PIPOA) in Kuala Rompin, the event featured hands-on experiments and interactive career forums led by PETRONAS volunteers. A 14-year-old, Asqaresya, expressed newfound enthusiasm for STEM, saying, “Programmes like this inspire me to excel.” Similarly, 15-year-old Zamirul Saiful shared how the problem-solving skills gained from activities such as building a DIY windmill will benefit him in any career, including his dream of joining the police force. This event marks our ninth DPS initiative this year, and is the first to focus specifically on Orang Asli students. It highlights our commitment to empowering young minds from all backgrounds to explore the possibilities STEM has to offer. #PETRONAS #PassionateAboutProgress #PETRONASPoweringKnowledge #SustainableValue4All
