  • 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 MHB recently conducted a high-impact Emergency Exercise, called the EX-BARRACUDA, at MMHE West Yard, Pasir Gudang, Johor. This large-scale exercise brought together MHB’s Fire and Rescue Services (FRS) and Corporate Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE), as well as key local authorities, including Balai Bomba dan Penyelamat Pasir Gudang, Ibu Pejabat Polis (IPD) Seri Alam, and Angkatan Pertahanan Awam Malaysia (APM), along with Pasir Gudang Emergency Mutual Aid (PAGEMA) members. Simulating a real-life scenario, the exercise tested our Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan, strengthening coordination with local authorities to ensure effective management of major emergency incidents. It also provided a platform for sharing best practices in emergency management—a testament to MHB’s dedication to safety and resilience. This is another milestone in our journey to foster a stronger, more resilient safety culture. Here's to continued progress in protecting our people, environment, and operations! #MHB #MMHE #SafetyFirst #EmergencyPreparedness

Building on our commitment to environmental restoration and community engagement, the MHB River Rehabilitation Programme has achieved yet another meaningful milestone! On 23 November 2024, MHB once again joined hands with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) for a Train the Trainers session aimed at restoring and revitalising the water quality of Sungai Buluh in Pasir Gudang. The event brought together over 60 volunteers—comprising MHB employees, the MMHE quarters community, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), and Majlis Bandaraya Pasir Gudang (MBPG)—for two key activities: pouring green waste vinegar into the river and an educational session on water quality, microcomposites, and microalgae. Green waste vinegar, an eco-friendly solution made from organic plant waste, was used to enhance biochemical processes and improve water quality. The session followed by an educational segment conducted by UTM experts: Prof. Dr. Zaharah Ibrahim, Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Mohd Fadhil Md Din, and Dr. Farizal Kamaroddin. Together, they introduced participants to macro composites and their preparation techniques, engaged the local community in water quality assessments to raise awareness, and highlighted the use of microalgae as bioindicators for identifying harmful species and evaluating water quality. We hope this initiative will inspire continued efforts toward a healthier environment. It’s our responsibility to make a meaningful, lasting impact. Together, we can create a positive change for future generations! #MHB #MMHE #MHBRiverRehabilitationProgramme #EnvironmentalEducation #CommunityEmpowerment #SustainableFuture

In total, we planted 100 trees, representing a variety of species, each contributing to the diversity and vitality of our local ecosystem. This meaningful initiative, which aligns with the core elements of the MHB River Rehabilitation Programme—Greening & Decarbonisation—is a step forward in our efforts to restore the local ecosystem and enhance environmental sustainability.   Through this activity, we aim to restore the natural environment with sustainable tree planting, utilising the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Geotrees system to monitor and nurture long-term tree growth. By engaging the local community, we aspire to preserve biodiversity and foster a cleaner, greener environment for everyone.   Together, we’re proving that small actions, like planting trees, can create a big impact for future generations. Here’s to building a sustainable future—one tree at a time! 🌳   #MHB #MMHE #RiverRehabilitation #SustainableFuture

Prior to this, the jacket, one of the longest to be fabricated with an innovative U-Loop design features, at 158 metres, was delivered to the same location on 10 September 2024. The project stands proud with achieving 2.8 million exposure hours without a single Lost Time Injury (LTI) with Zero Defects. Once it is fully operational, this unmanned platform, will harness renewable energy via solar panels to export circa 800 million standard cubic feet of gas per day, from the Rosmari and Marjoram fields. With a design life of 20 years, it will supply natural gas to the Bintulu Onshore Gas Plant, Sarawak.   Congratulations to our client, Sarawak Shell Berhad, our partners, and everyone involved for making this achievement possible. Onward to greater achievements! 👏    #MHB #MMHE #RenewableEnergy #OffshoreEngineering #Fabrication #OilAndGas
