And we are off and running …. It has been a productive and inspiring few days as we deliver our first ever trade mission to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The focus of the trade mission is the sport economy - a powerful tool in connecting people cross borders. We have been met with great warmth and hospitality and each day has been full of engaging conversations exploring opportunities for collaboration across the whole sport value chain. The Kingdom has experienced incredible growth and is making significant investments in sport across the whole ecosystem including mass participation; talent development pathways; elite performance; major events and sporting infrastructure - all supporting their Vision 2030 strategy. Showcasing Victoria's collaborative spirit and innovative advancements in #RenewableEnergy and #Mining, Global Victoria recently hosted a delegation from the Australia Chile Chamber of Commerce (AusCham) – opening doors for mutually beneficial partnerships with Chile.  From witnessing the ingenuity of Victorian companies – ElectraLith, Black Stump Technologies, PowerPlus Energy and Wave Swell Energy, to touring cutting-edge facilities, such as Deakin University's 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐫𝐢 𝐇𝐮𝐛, the 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐓𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐭 Holmesglen TAFE, and Rio Tinto's 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞 at La Trobe University, the delegation gained deep and valuable insights into Victoria's thriving ecosystem. A Victorian Government briefing session was held with our team at Global Victoria and Invest Victoria, representatives from CarbonNet and the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) providing an overview of the state's commitment to these sectors, complemented by a briefing on the mining industry from AusIMM.
