Semalam, Kayuh D’ Tonggang (KDT) menerima kunjungan daripada YB Tuan Ahmad Fahmi bin Mohamed Fadzil, Menteri Komunikasi, sempena Majlis Peluncuran Program Advokasi. KDT adalah inisiatif eko-pelancongan bersama komuniti Orang Asli tempatan yang dilaksanakan oleh GEC dan Yayasan Hasanah. Terletak bersebelahan Sungai Seno’oi, sesi lawatan ini turut memberi peluang kepada GEC untuk berkongsi maklumat tentang keadaan sungai serta usaha mitigasi kejadian kepala air. Usaha seperti ini membuktikan bahawa kelestarian alam sekitar dan pemerkasaan komuniti mampu berjalan seiring memacu pembangunan ekonomi tempatan. 🌊 Together caring for our rivers 🤝 Through two initiatives under the W.A.T.E.R. Project, communities gathered again to create positive impacts to protect our waterways: 1️⃣ Bukit Kiara River Walk ✨ 15 SPARK Foundation staff and their families explored four learning stations, gaining insights into river health, the river basin concept and the vital role of forests as natural watersheds. 2️⃣ Sg Way Clean-Up & River Care Education at Desa Mentari ✨ 45 participants from Desa Mentari, Sunway University and BAC’s Leo Club joined forces to learn about river care and clean the rivers.
