Daylesford Crossing and Echo Lake, senior living communities in Paoli and Malvern, respectively, hosted TUBACHRISTMAS for residents and guests — a festive holiday concert featuring traditional Christmas music performed by tuba and euphonium musicians.

It was a wonderful evening of music, togetherness, and holiday spirit, celebrating the rich musical heritage of these instruments and bringing the joy of the season to life.

TUBACHRISTMAS, a truly timeless celebration, was established in 1974 by Harvey Phillips as a tribute to his teacher and mentor, William J. Bell, a luminary born on Christmas Day in 1902. This cherished event celebrates the legacy of great artists and educators who have elevated the performance and pedagogy of tuba and euphonium music.

From its debut at Rockefeller Plaza in New York City, TUBACHRISTMAS has become a beloved tradition featuring arrangements by American composer Alec Wilder, who contributed immensely to the repertoire for these instruments.
