The Ty Schraufnagel Agency of American Family Insurance is looking for a positive, motivated individual to join their championship team as a full-time Insurance Risk Advisor.

High School Diploma
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
A successful candidate must obtain property & casualty insurance licenses within agreed time of hiring offer (30 Days) & life license (90 days from original hire date)
A candidate does not officially start until they are licensed.
Primary Job Functions & Activities:
Sales Related: The primary role of the Insurance Risk Advisor is to sell auto, home, commercial and life insurance within our primary sales markets.
Here are a few of those activities:
Make proactive outbound calls and receive inbound calls in an effort to quote and bind auto, home, commercial and life insurance
Follow up with and meet with new business prospects to make new business presentations
Execute new business presentations
Quote personal and commercial lines insurance
Follow up with customers after sales to complete the sales process
Assist with building relationships with referral partners (mortgage lenders, real estate agents, etc.
)
Maintain product knowledge for all lines of business and products written
Create brokerage quotes & applications, especially those with Foremost, Vacant Express, and American Modern
Visit properties of homes for field underwriting and take photos of properties
Cross-sell while assisting current customers
Service Related: While the primary role is sales, the Insurance Risk Advisor will assist with a portion of service-related work.
Provide support during increased incoming phone call volume
Help with billing issues and policy transactions as needed
Identify and assist with other miscellaneous items to deliver outstanding customer experience

There are multiple potential career paths associated with this position if the performance of the applicant merited progression over time:
Personal Development: Take advantage of the ability to be mentored and grow your own book of business within the agency by having access to renewals that will build on each other to grow your income every year.
There is also potential for increased product knowledge through continuing education and additional training.
Line Sales Manager: This person would help build a sales team and be responsible for team sales goals within a specific line of insurance within the agency.
Storefront Manager: The Ty Schraufnagel Agency operates in multiple locations.
If you’d like to be a manager of a location, but not incur the expense or risk of agency ownership, you could be a storefront manager.
Future Agency Owner: If you know that you would like to run your own business with your own team but don’t believe you currently have the skills or capital in order to be successful, this is a great path.
This candidate would seek their own agency (outside of our primary sales markets) after a 2- to 3-year mentorship program.

Compensation:
· A successful candidate will make between $37-$65k with base, commission, renewals, and bonus opportunities.
Schedule:
· Monday through Friday: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
· Weekend events as needed
