Responsibilities:
- Assist with various tasks related to legal cases and transactions
- Prepare and draft legal documents, such as contracts and pleadings
- Create, organize and maintain physical and electronic files and documents
- Assist with document review and management using document management systems
- Perform clerical duties, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, managing calendars and emails.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures, and concepts
- Must be punctual with good time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to gather information from various sources
- Proficiency in data entry and maintaining accurate records
- Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills
Note: This is an entry-level position, so prior experience as a legal assistant is not required but preferred.
However, candidates must have prior work history that includes strong computer and clerical skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30,000.
