Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented Staff Accountant to join our team at Americanflat.
As an Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date financial records, reconciling bank statements, and providing crucial accounting and administrative support.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting procedures, possess a natural aptitude for numbers, and play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the company's daily accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
Perform meticulous data entry tasks, including uploading client invoices and reconciling bank statements on a daily basis.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness in recording financial transactions to maintain up-to-date records.
Offer comprehensive support to the accounting department by assisting with various accounting tasks and clerical duties.
Take charge of compiling crucial data for foreign returns on a monthly basis.
Utilize designated computer software to generate comprehensive reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy in financial documentation.
Conduct thorough investigations to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data promptly.
Implement effective solutions and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders to maintain data integrity and compliance with accounting standards.
Contribute actively to ad hoc projects initiated by the accounting department, providing valuable support and insights.
Deliver timely updates on project progress and assist in implementing necessary actions to achieve project objectives.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a must.
Previous proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting, handling the full accounting cycle, is a must.
Familiarity with accounting software and tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software.
Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
Excellent organizational skills to handle and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Able to work 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST (New York Time).
