Metal legends Iron Maiden won’t be charging the controversial ‘in demand’ pricing for their huge 50th-anniversary tour.

Tickets are set to go on sale for the Run For Your Lives tour imminently but fans had been concerned the 70s icons could allow Ticketmaster to use dynamic pricing.

Inflated ticket costs have become a huge concern for music lovers recently, with massive backlash sparked over the Oasis gig sales.

Iron Maiden, who formed in 1975, promised a ‘once-in-a-lifetime live experience’ but assured fans they will cap prices at face value.

‘FYI There will be no dynamic ticket pricing for the 2025 Run For Your Lives Tour,’ the Wasted Years singers wrote on Instagram.

They continued: ‘Ticket resale in the UK will be capped at face value and won’t open until much closer to the start of the tour. As always, we urge fans to only purchase tickets from approved outlets.’

Presale for anyone in the fan club begins at midday on Tuesday, September 24, with the general sale following at a later date.

Fans praised the decision in the comments of the post, with Mark Connelly writing: ‘Great to see bands actively talking about dynamic pricing and not having it switched on.’

Mick Ryan replied: ‘Exactly brother!! Dynamic pricing is greed in its truest form!’

‘Dynamic pricing and official resales are an industry cancer,’ added Ivan. ‘Thank you for make a stand against It. I hope more big bands will follow.’

Kicking off in 2025, Iron Maiden will play five UK and Ireland gigs in June as well as European dates over the summer.

The set list is said to span the Fear of the Dark singers’ first nine studio albums in an elaborate production to celebrate 50 years.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, September 27, at 12pm through Live Nation’s website (which usually hosts sales through Ticketmaster).

‘Next year is a very special one for Iron Maiden and we’re going to be giving our fans a once-in-a-lifetime live experience,’ shared lead singer Bruce Dickinson, 66.

He continued: ‘This is a tour that’s gonna put a smile on your face and a cheer in your throat. If you’ve seen us before, then get ready to take that experience to a whole new level.

‘If you’ve never seen us before, then what the hell have you been waiting for? Now’s your chance to find out what you’ve been missing!

‘Iron Maiden’s definitely gonna get ya!’

The group will play in Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Dublin, and London, where they will perform at West Ham’s London Stadium.

Founding member Steve Harris is a lifelong fan of the football club and shared: ‘My love of football and my support of West Ham is no secret, and I know many of our fans around the world have shared that with me too.
