Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystal are reportedly ‘closer than ever’, while Maura Higgins is in Australia for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
The Strictly Come Dancing partners’ connection is said to be deepening the more time they spend together for the BBC series. It is even claimed they’ve been sharing car rides when heading to their TV show obligations.
This comes after Maura, 33, declared herself a single woman before embarking on the ITV show.
‘I am single at the moment, but honestly no one is going to fancy me in the jungle. Trust me,’ she said.
Maura’s statement may have surprised some people as she was pictured looking cosy with Pete, 35, on a evening out just days before her flight to Australia. In a few of the snaps, they cuddled, while Pete was kissing Maura’s cheek and ear.
A source has claimed that Pete now has intensifying chemistry with Jowita, 30. Although it was ‘clear from the moment they met’, things have progressed in recent weeks.
‘They’ve started seeing each other away from the show.
‘They’ve tried to keep it low-key but they often travel together rather than getting separate cars to different locations,’ the source told The Sun.
‘And they’re so tactile backstage — it has become pretty obvious something is going on.
‘Everyone is talking about the fact they seem closer than ever.’
They were recently pictured walking together after leaving a North London dance studio together at 7pm. Pete strided ahead with a cigarette in hand and a bag thrown over his shoulder, while Jowita was busying herself by looking at a phone.
Both were dressed casually after a day of practising their dance moves.
Maura did speak about Pete on the We Need To Talk podcast last month.
‘He’s an amazing person,’ she said, but didn’t confirm whether they really were a ‘thing’.
‘We’re friends,’ she insisted. ‘We met very soon after me coming off the show, very soon, and we just instantly clicked.
‘I never come out and go, “This is so not true,”‘ she said, going on: ‘My friends know the truth, my family knows the truth, I know the truth, that’s all that matters.’
Maura isn’t the only person close to Pete that’s in Australia. Sam Thompson is presenting spin off show, Unpacked, which has left him without a co-host for his own podcast, Staying Relevant.
Naturally, Jowita stepped into the role, and a further insight into their relationship was offered to fans.
Pete refers to Jowita as his ‘dance wife’ and respects her rules, which includes not drinking alcohol. At one point, Pete pressured Jowita to reveal who she’d have liked to partner if it wasn’t him, and when she said Jamie Borthwick, he seemed pained.
‘This is so like the beginnings of a teenage relationship… finding out who your ‘passes’ are or who would you go out with if it wasn’t me.. vibe 🤣🤣🤣,’ said Damr2005 on the clip posted on Instagram.
