Emmerdale’s Tina Dingle (Samantha Power) has waged a war on the wrong person as Mandy (Lisa Riley) has vowed to put a stop to her manipulation and deceit once and for all.
Tina, as viewers know, rocked up in the eponymous village last month on the day of Zak’s (Steve Halliwell) funeral and made it quite clear that she wanted a share in Wishing Well.
But with Zak having made a will, the Dingles took great delight in telling her that she’s not entitled to anything.
Tina, however, is a master at scheming and thus she had a trick up her sleeve as she blackmailed Mandy into doing her bidding, having quite the leverage on the beautician.
Mandy’s adoptive son Vinny (Bradley Johnson) is Tina’s biological child.
It turns out that Mandy looked after Vinny when young Tina did a disappearing act and, when she returned to claim the child, Mandy paid her off, having fallen in love with the little boy, who was her son in every way that mattered.
Tina made it quite clear that she would tell Vinny the truth if Mandy didn’t steal Zak’s will for her. Mandy was devastated but, fearing that Vinny would disown her if the truth came out, she did as Tina demanded.
Friday’s (November 8) edition of the ITV soap saw Tina continue to mess with Mandy as she struck up a friendship with Vinny.
Mandy, heartbroken to see the two together, headed back to Tennant’s cottage, where Paddy (Dominic Brunt) – knowing something was up – asked her to tell him what’s wrong.
Mandy broke down as she revealed everything.
Paddy didn’t judge and instead reminded Mandy of just how much Vinny loves her – and that in order to defeat Tina she needs to take the power back by telling Vinny the truth herself.
It was a like a brainwave moment for Mandy, as she realised that she’s not going to let Tina call the shots any longer!
Tina had better watch out!
It had long been thought that Cain (Jeff Hordley) or even Sam (James Hooton) would play a role in Tina’s downfall, thus freeing Mandy from her control, but it seems Mandy herself will be the one who takes down her nemesis – and we can’t wait to see it unfold!
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 or stream from 7am on ITVX.
