Some people train for a marathon, some go for skydiving.
But Terry Rosoman, 38, challenged himself to create the largest GPS drawing of a penis ever made in under 24 hours.
It was the ‘hardest thing’ he has taken on, he said, after running 75 miles to outline the phallus and balls.
Terry, from South Wales, trekked through pitch-black and misty conditions across the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) to raise money and awareness about men’s mental health issues for Movember.
He began his journey at 5pm on Friday at Abergavenny railway station and finished at about 4.30pm on Saturday at the same place.
Speaking in his car as he drove home after completing his run, he said: ‘It was absolutely horrendous. It was just a hard slog for 24 hours.
‘I didn’t sleep, I ran through the night, pitch black, I couldn’t see anything. We got lost loads of times.
‘The elevation killed us. It was really tough. I’m just glad to get it done.’
Mr Rosoman, who is a director for a freelance marketing company, ran the shape of the large manhood to gain the attention of his ‘target demographic’, and joked that most men find the shape ‘hilarious’.
Movember, a charity raising awareness and funds for men’s mental health, suicide prevention, prostate and testicular cancers, marks its 21st anniversary this year.
Terry, who has raised more than £3,500 of his £5,000 target, said: ‘Even with the torches, you can only see a couple of feet in front of you because of the mist.’
He said the highlight was crossing the finish line to see his daughters and wife, who ‘ran up and gave me a hug’.
His next goal is more easily achieved: ‘I’m getting fat for Christmas. That’s it now, no challenges, no training. My body is in bits. It’s going to take a fair few weeks to recover,’ he said.
He thanked those who joined him on his challenge and people who donated to his fundraiser.
